Did some work on this pipe laying barge years back, flew out to line up and repair 4 Big 1200cfm compressors ( Buckner Rental Services) man this barge is a multi national Community and full of some hard working Men & Women , weather got bad and Hilo had to tie down overnight, we stayed on the barge and we’re treated like family.. thank you 😇

I worked all over Contra Costa county and Alameda county in the Bay Area.... Mostly Refinery's for about 10 years .. Chemical Plants. Budweiser Brewery...Ames Research out of the Sprinkler Fitter welding...The Modules for Alaska.. Sunshine Biscuit where the made Cheese It's....Glass Plants in Antioch...They need welders so that's were I went...ALOT of the Pipe was X-rayed so you had to be on your Toes

WELDING THE PIPE TOGETHER IS CALLED DOUBLE ENDED... NOT DOUBLE JOINT....We Would get two Guy's one on each side and Stick weld it...We called it Brother in law when we Welded it like that...We Welded a 20" Pipe and I Think it took us 120 Hours to weld it And I had 20 years of Experience then....The other Guy had about 27 Years Experience and had Taught me...He learned to Weld at Mare Island in Vallejo CA

At the beginning of this Video they said it takes 2 Year's to Drill this Hole for the Pipe Line.... I've never done this kind of Pipe Line Work but I'm a Welder out of UA Steamfitters local 342 in Concord California...I know they aren't welding This By Hand so let's see all the other BS They come with....
