The point about being seated is so fascinating to me! I just recently went from working a job where I stand all day to one where I’m seated(my feet are so grateful!), and I’m astonished by how many of my tops/pants don’t fit nearly as well after sitting for multiple hours straight. I have button ups that bulge, waistbands that become too tight, and pant legs that now aren’t nearly long enough so my ankles show over my socks. The transition had been rough style wise, so I’m super looking forward to using these points and tweaking my work style to feel like my casual style but like… in a practical, work appropriate way.
ОтветитьI won’t find any wardrobe gaps…because I have an enormous amount of clothing! 😅.
ОтветитьLiz, do you have a feed directly into my brain???? This is EXACTLY what I've been thinking about for weeks!
You explained this so well, broke it down into really simple steps and still kept it interesting. That Hannah video was a gamechanger for me the first time I watched it, and you best believe I took so many notes.
That's me decided then. I think it's time to go on a wardrobe exploration!
i love that you showed us how to actually use the tips with the outfits you created! they were gorgeous!
ОтветитьI audibly gasped when i saw the new pants! Theyre so beautiful!!!
Ответитьloved the content and presentation in this vid, watching you show this process of defining your style sparked so much joy💖 i've got a massive section in the notes app dedicated to themes of my style that i've updated throughout the years, but i'll try using Milanote next because it looks so visually pleasing and organised!!
Ответитьwhat a great video!! commenting for exposure, hopefully it works bc people deserve to see this :))
ОтветитьThis video was so thoughtful and inspiring! I feel so energised to get out of my clothing/styling rutt now. I kept thinking about how helpful this video is throughout the start and it reminded me of Hannah Louise Poston's video, qnd then you brought it up! Such a fun moment for me. I love how you both tackle the same issue, but with different insights and processes. Thanks again for the incredible video x
ОтветитьThis is such high quality fashion advice. Definitely gonna make my own moodboard now!
Ответитьthis is so helpful as i'm currently in the middle of oldloserinbrooklyn/mandy lee's 75 hard style challenge! making a moodboard/working around it will definitely help me in the "no buy" aspect of that challenge; i'm trying to train myself out of buying clothes for the dopamine hit lol. i always appreciate how practical and realistic your videos are! they help settle my ADHD brain down and focus on what's important when i get dressed. <3
also i snorted at the inclusion of "heist" in the list of things you can use milanote for.
Wow this is one very informative video!!!
Ответитьlove this so much, amazing video liz!!
ОтветитьLeave it to Liz to unlock all the secrets to finding your personal style and drop a video on it on a random Monday. Truly doing god's work 🙌🙌🙌
Ответитьsuper helpful, thanks!
ОтветитьLove your videos and love HLP! It’s always fun to discover that two favorite creators are aware of one another
Ответитьlove this video! I have had many similar realizations about my style in the past few years so this made me happy to see :) My most recent realization is that I simply can’t wear things that make me inherently feel uncomfortable/insecure (this may sound very obvious) but sometimes I tried to convince myself I’ll be fine in something and spent the day being all uncomfortable- I had to be 100% fr with myself and just cut out the garments that bother me to my core and I’ve never felt better not trying to force them into outfits
being very picky and choosy in the first place about clothes functionality and feeling is actually a great thing to never have that happen again !
Loved watching you put together outfits and seeing them become so you!! Gonna do this this afternoon hehe
ОтветитьI would love to see how you would style bat wing shirts. My wonderful mom made me one, but I am having a hard time styling it without it looking early 2010s.
Ответитьeven though we have different styles, i love watching you put outfits together and getting amazing fashion tips. thank you! <3
Ответитьholy shit i use milanote for photography but i never thought about it for outfit planning!!! your mind
ОтветитьThanks for all your tips on using a moodboard like Milanote for a creative proces or organising creative chaos! I started my own with Milanote :)
Ответить"Heist" 😆🤣😂
ОтветитьWas that a bonnet on your wishlist? 👍
(Santa didn't bring you one? 😟😢)
💙💙💙
“Heist” 😂 killed me
Ответитьoh I love this!! this looks like a lot of fun and Milanote looks really cool. I'm not always inspired when I watch these types of videos because I feel like I already know a lot when it comes to my personal style but I'm really excited to give this a go! great video as always <3
ОтветитьHi
Please make a video on how to nail the preppy with an edge as a hijabi...
Love your videos ❤
Thoses 90s dad sandals, i have so been looking for them!
ОтветитьYou're inspiring me to be more stylish and have fun with it this year! Fashion has always been so hard for me and I have been debating just dressing in the same clothes/style this year, but my creative side is begging to come out! Just subscribed, looking forward to more of your content! ❤
ОтветитьThe ultimate guide ❤
ОтветитьInteresting process. Love thenidea of including your own fave items and outfits in the mood board. Thanks for sharing 😊
ОтветитьThanks for the valuable content you show, I get very inspired because your vibe is they way I like to do things while I play dress up, or improve my style. Have fun!!
ОтветитьOkay if you’re very inconsistent with your style get base pieces that are comfy and fit you well that are in relatively neutral colors or looks. Ex: a really nice skirt in black then style it however you feel that day! I’ll have a beige or black skirt that is in a style I like like box pleats and then I’ll put on a top that I like for that day (ex: maximalist top will fit well but so will simplistic) this way you can not over consume and pair all your fun unique pieces in a way that allows you to wear them basically all the time and if you change aesthetics you can just have a variety of unique pieces and a base of neutral pieces!
ОтветитьThis was super helpful! I followed along and made a lovely board of my dream wardrobe in milanote and I actually have a plan to make it happen. Thanks for putting together such a thorough guide <3
Ответитьlove love love, turning fashion into math is the new math
Ответитьsuper helpful, love creating systemz to tackle everyday things
ОтветитьSensations to avoid!! This has become my main factor to consider as I get older. Sweaty is a big one thanks and has pushed me to only consider wool and cotton for non-athletic clothing.
ОтветитьHey I hope you see this!
I recently found the beauty of wearing a headscarf as a belt! Like the one's you wear on your head if you wanna look like a grandma if it makes sense :D but you can wear it as a belt...
OMG!!! I was watching this and I recognized the cafe hollander sticker on your laptop! and then i paused and zoomed in and saw the fiddleheads logo sticker!!! hey from Milwaukee haha (Wisconsin girls unite!)
ОтветитьWow !!! Learned so much here !
Ответитьim so inspired by this video - thank you SO much, Liz!!! Excited to use Milanote for the first time!!
Ответить.
Ответитьi love how u and drew joiner kinda got the same vibe and i love his videos so even though im not your like target audience, i love the vids
ОтветитьDecided to follow along with you and it was really fun! I already had lots of inspo and know what i like but putting it all together was really interesting
Ответитьrevisiting this because i love, but in the time since it came out i have obtained the opposite type of disability -- chronic pain that makes it quite painful to sit more than briefly! i guess that's easier clothes-wise than the opposite but it has really highlighted for me how much of normal life is seated and how hard it is mentally to adjust to doing things standing that we're just so used to doing seated, like. I haven't really figured out how to eat standing up even though objectively, this shouldn't be hard? My brain just doesn't want to do it
