I remember my first ruin guard in the arena thingy in Mondstardt. I have level 20 traveler there but the ruin guard was like 30 ish or something and one shot my traveler. Then I spent the next 20 mins running around and chipping it slowly with level 1 amber. Then I find out that it can be stuck between the stone blocks in certain locations so I start abusing it. It still could shoot rockets but those are easy to dodge.

I love going to that one island next to Liyue harbor which spawns four ruin guards. I just love battling em. The first time I encountered them I smiled as I finally had a real challenge in the game since I was breezing through. It was so much fun.

my ganyu just 2-3 shot every one of ruin machines. i remember taking forever to kill one.
