The xr has had a great run considering its 5 years old and still somewhat relevant my lil sister has one and she still loves hers no real problems

I’m using this phone now and has it since early 2019(?)… battery health 84%. I don’t want to jinx it but it hasn’t caused me any troubles so far. I would keep using it forever if it lasted !

I have a Xr in the Coral color and i loved it but it’s horrible. I had it since 2018 and it worked well but im now having problems with my screen blacking out and not showing at all. I’m currently looking to upgrade to a pro model. Anyone else had this problem?

Mediocre battery? Battery easily last me about the whole day. Granted I don’t do social media except YT and 2 games. Raid and SWGOH. Still think the battery is good.

Had XR when it was released, after 5 year just upgraded to 15Pro and only now, feel it's a justified upgrade. Thank you.

I understand reviewers having to do sponsorship videos but lying to your viewers about charging speeds on iPhone isn't cool. For those that care, the majority of iPhones charge at 20W maximum. I believe the Max/Plus iPhone's can go up to 27W but that's it, you don't need anything more than 'slow 30W charging' bricks.

Owned one new a few years ago, the battery was easily better than my year old 14 Pro.

Had an iPhone XR since it came out, over the years it really messed me over when it came to speeds and battery life. I recently upgraded to the 14 Pro Max and wow it's a huge change.

I just upgraded to the 15 pro but I miss my xr, modtly for the style and honestly, only having one camera lens, the new ones with multiple lenses just made the design seem clunky to me. I wish the new SE would look a bit like the xr, but maybe still having the dynamic island

I was lucky and bought a used unlocked XR for $100 in late 2021 that i use as a secondary phone. It's still a great phone and should be fine in 2024. The XR and XS and XS max are the first iPhones to support Band 71 LTE so it's got all the bands apart from 5G. Which is why i believe for any budget iPhone user the oldest and best value iPhone anyone should be using at bare minimum in 2023/2024 is the XR, that can be found on the used market for about $150 these days.

The iPhone Xr actually has QuickTake video, it’s just not advertised by Apple to boost new iPhone sales. It got QuickTake camera as a whole with the new UI included on iOS 14

one correction: idk why the apple specs say the a12 iphones dont have quicktake video, BUT THEY DO HAVE IT. My xs max had it on ios 16 and it worked perfectly fine.

I upgraded my iPhone 4 after 2 years to the iPhone 6. Then I upgraded my iPhone 6 to the XR after 4 years. Now after 5 years of using the XR every day it has 82% battery capacity left and I am still not sure if my iPhone 15 Pro order was neccessary. The iPhone XR also used to last about 10 hours On Screen Time back when it was new. So Apple didn‘t improve their phones by a lot, they just made the older ones worse with updates.

Picked mine up in Nov 2019 and it’s still my daily driver to this day. Cracked the back glass recently though but am paying for the monthly AppleCare+, so a full 4 years into ownership, cracked back will only run me $99. Being that my financial situation got a bit tight recently, I can no longer get an iPhone 14 Plus in Jan 2024 like I planned, so I’ll repair my XR and run it for one more full year.

my XR died a few weeks ago and it was too expensive to repair so I had to upgrade to a Samsung s23 because the iphone 15 base model is a shambles and I dont see the point buying an older iphone when now every device is Usb-C. If apple put a 120Hz display on the 15 and 15+ I probably would have bought them but Apple are lacking far behind in basic features that theres no point in buying a modern apple phone. I hope apple make a comback because the s24 which releases in a few months will have a 1440p display with 2600 nits of peak brightness at 120Hz which is significantly better than even the 15 pro max's display in a £800 phone so the iphone 16 will have to be something magical to even get close to the competition

I have been using an iPhone XR for 2 years and 9 months at the time of writing this comment. The performance so far very good and tno issue with the camera. However, in the current position of iOS 17.0.2, the battery feels drained and the battery health at 79%. I think I just need to replace the battery, until later I really need to upgrade, maybe to iPhone 15 with USB type-C

Already the oldest phone supported on iOS 17 - it may be done next Fall.

Check this out. I’ve had the xr since release. I use it 10 hours plus a day for everything. Never had not a single issue with it. It runs perfect. No noticeable lag. I have movie apps on it and use it as a stream to tv too. Movies run flawless. I have not one bad thing to say about it.

I have a red XR it’s great for me the camera. Isn’t great but I’m a photographer so have an excellent DSLR camera which I use for pro photography in my opinion no phone camera will never replace a good DSLR they are just gimmicks which is ok to do quick “snaps” with😌
