If you own this chair getting a compatible atlas headrest is a must.

This video is completely wrong about the fabric on the seats of the Logitech Embody and standard Embody chairs. The comparison object is chairs before 2021. The standard chair produced after 2021 has the same thickened sponge fabric as the Logitech gaming chair.

I have the Haworth Fern (standard black with lumbar bubble) at work, and the Logitech Embody at home. Love both but I think the fern lumbar is underrated and I slightly prefer that.

Somehow, the lower back is really extremely hart... hart plastic... which hurts... no matter how I sit , it hurts. Only when I sit so straight I'm not using the lumbar support in my lower back but I think this was not what the chair was made for :/

Thanks so much for the review.
I have a question to ask you: I work as a remote programmer and have been using an Ikea Jarvafallet chair for a few years, now thanks to your channel I realized that all this time I could have been much more comfortable...
After seeing many reviews I am undecided between two models (but obviously I accept other suggestions 😁): the Steelcase Amia and the Herman Miller Embody Gaming, but there is an important clarification to make, I live in northern Italy with summer temperatures up to 35 degrees celsius (should be 95 degrees fahrenheit), and I'm someone who tends to sweat a lot in the summer. Having said that, what do you think of the choice between these two chairs? Would I die of heat with Amia?
Ps: I know that there are also completely mesh chairs, but I'm not convinced of their comfort in terms of seating, based on what you've said, do you still suggest I take them into consideration?

The lumbar curvature need improve , make it more curvier at the lower back . And the curve on the top back need to reduce curvature . Then it'll be perfect

I think it's a damning indictment of either you guys or chair manufacturers that the best part of a thousands pounds or more doesn't get you something that one might be satisfied to call excellent. They all have flaws seemingly, so I guess you're right to judge them as you have.

Basically my perfect chair. Never used a better chair before, and I no longer experience back pain after work. Can safely say I have no plans to ever work with another chair - despite its steep price, if mine broke down without repair I would buy it again without a second thought.

Also it’s worth noting that HM appears to have taken the sound complaint into account with the latest models. I bought my chair during last year’s Christmas sale and it makes 0 sound, it’s fully quiet even after actively trying to make it crease.

Does anyone know if there is still a difference in the seat between the gaming and a regular embody in 2023? It seems the seat has been updated but I can’t quite tell

Got the Gaming Embody for 1200(ish) USD during their black friday sale and after sitting for many years in cheap no name chairs that eventually gave me butt and neck pain having a proper chair is so nice. Could I gotten away with a cheaper office chair? Sure but I rather spend more on a product that will likely last over the long term (I'm a person who is of the buy one, cry once mentality, if I can afford it) and black and blue look of the Embody Gaming chair has a nice gamer vibe without going overboard and the extra form on the seat and backrest sealed the deal for me.

I've had the Embody Gaming for only a week and a half but thus far am very pleased with it. It gets mixed usage among gaming, a couple days of work, and tv/movie watching on my PC. Thus far it's been very comfortable for all activities.

The gaming colors suck… I’d love if they would just take the extra cushion and gimmick cloth design and offer it with the color combinations available on the non gaming variants.

It's really reassuring to see people saying their only complaints with the chair are with the armrests, as someone who exclusively throws them down to as low as they go and sits with my stomach up against the desk. I feel like I'm sure this is exactly what I need in a chair but it's just so hard to get myself to click the button to sign over $1700 for it.

I recently got this chair and at first I wasn't as blown away as I had hoped to be at first, however after sitting in the chair for more than just a few minutes really opened my eyes and *THEN* blew me away. I have no pains or aches whatsoever after sitting in the chair for hours on end and I don't feel the need to stretch wildly after getting up and away from my desk.

It's so comfortable and cool to the touch, the armrests and noise are of no issue to me, everything is so smooth acting and the design is beyond amazing. Would definitely buy this again.

if only the seat and back were more soft and comfortable and overall had less creaking sound, then the embody would be great. But the chair does not even feel like a 1k chair. It really feels like a scam. I send mine back, had two.. last was the logitech gaming which I thought would fix things but.. both times I wasn't really convinced. Had all the high priced chairs behind me now.. leap v2, fern, embody, aeron remastered.. nothing really convincing for LONG sessions of gaming. Either extremely pain in butt and lower back or just felt cheap. The aeron in c (as and slightly "oversized" chair for me) is the only one that were ACTAULLY comfortable, like a real hammock, if it just didn't had this frame problem.. but with this problem it doesn't seem worth it to spend that kinda money even if it was quite comfy for 2months straight with no pain, sadly. I wish HM would upgrade the aeron and find a solution with the hard frame on the seat. A cushion pad perfectly sized for the Aeron, to go all the way over the frame might be an option but I don't know.. too pricy if I have to find workarrounds because of a design flaw

I have the regular Embody and it was a vast improvement for my over the Aeron, DX Racer, and other chairs I've had or tried. Since I have damage to my spine due to a life well-lived, I was surprised to find the stiff cushioning to be so comfortable. My only real complaint is also the side-side adjustment of the armrests. I like to lean on them when I have to reach for something (or deal with a mischievous cat) so I really wish they locked into place instead of the notched positions. As complaints go, that is pretty niche.

Absolutely love my HM x Logitech Embody in Cyan. I've had it for about 6 months now and hope to get years of use out of it.
As I WFH full-time, I managed to get work to pay for it and it has more or less got rid of my back problems.
I am glad I opted for the Gaming variant due to the thicker fabric. This was something I was aware of beforehand, but for me, it was a case of the fastest delivery and cheapest available at the time - as it was on sale.
I did a ton of research before settling on this chair and one of my sources was your channel. Keep up the good work!

I just got this exact chair a couple weeks ago. I actually had both: gaming aeron and gaming embody to test and see which one I wanted to keep. I went with the embody. So far, it's the best chair I have used. I wish the armrests swung away further than they do, but this is a minor issue for me. So far - I would most certainly buy again.

Stupidly I went with a racing style gaming chair about 5 years ago which never really felt comfortable. I am sure during Covid it was the prime cause of giving me thoracic back pain and chronic costocondritis I am still battling daily pain with.

Great video, it's always interesting to see how different a chair can be for two different people. I prefer the regular Embody over the gaming version, but the Aeron is still my chair of choice. Absolutely agree though, that in terms of gaming chairs, this is by far the best option out there. Even in terms of looks, the bucket seat ones just look so silly, despite nice colour options and stitching.

I'm defiantly saving for one of these. One of the biggest pro's is the 12 year warranty over my secret lab chair's 2 year warranty. My secret lab arms get cut up because they wont go down all the way under the table. I ended up taking them off so I can scoot my chair all the way forward. Also on the secret lab, the seat tilt lock mech broke and they gave me the runaround in getting a replacement. Asking me multiple times for the same information. I just gave up on the repair process.

You say it lets you sit up in a way that normal gaming chairs don’t, but that is nonsense. The back is designed to have you leaning back with you head upright. If you try and crank the back more upright it just awkwardly pushes your shoulders forward.

I agree it has a great seat, but the back is diabolical compared with other chairs like the aeron.
