we dont even have 20 actual users for the app hhhhhhhhh rather than 20 testers this is Bullshit
ОтветитьSo what will prevent dev to open 20 accounts and register them as testers?
Ответитьnice trick to mimic i-store without stating it. Only huge companies can afford hiring 20 testers
ОтветитьWe had less developers in companies with a gross revenue of over 4 billion USD, so... let that sync in...
ОтветитьSeveral of those changes are against the law here in Brazil... No app can delete your account before 12 months of inactivity and AFTER they delete your account they must be able to re-instate you within a 12 month period upon your request.
ОтветитьThank you so much for bringing to my attention. Am currently working on a game right now and this really sucks to be honest I’ll join your discord!
ОтветитьWell, it's time to bring back apks into relevancy
ОтветитьTime to start using FDroid
ОтветитьDoes Google play store team has 20 testors 💀👀😂 this will be problem for freelancers
ОтветитьAm I safe if I created the account before 13 november 2023?
ОтветитьRegarding 20 testers: I expect there to be companies only doing such testing, possibly/likely automated.
ОтветитьWe have 5 Android phones at home. I have 2, my wife and my parents have one each. I will test your apps on all 5 phones for 10 dollars.
Limited time offer. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This won't backfire horribly at all.
ОтветитьThis policy is absurd, I use to develop Android apps as my hobby. Now I feel demotivated to do it. Did not expect this from Google. Pathetic decision.
ОтветитьHey Google. Subway app for orders is terrible quality. Hey Google.
ОтветитьThis is another way to say they only want big companies publishing apps. It has nothing to do with quality.
ОтветитьThe most famous apps came from individuals that had an idea and didn't have a company.
ОтветитьI dont even have 20 friends 😅 lol
Ответитьtake a chill pill. just create an app that all indie app developers can sign up on. take turns testing each others apps. done.
Ответитьin the meantime, google has allowed apps that serve as a market for human trafficking to flourish.
Ответитьwell, this pivot a new freelancer job...: "$5 to test your app, +$2 per extra tester", "Verified tester", "Get approved in google play" "20 verified tester by $100"
ОтветитьA typical example of somebody in charge, who got there to fill mandatory checks and have zero experience in such matters. My company has 750 employees, few apps, about 2-3 testers on each and everything works totally fine. Like how the F would anybody consider 20 testers anywhere near reasonable?
Ответитьi would glad use windows phone instead if it were not discontinued
ОтветитьDear Google... please explain to me how a scheming developer doesn't just create an MLM on this policy, promising to send $5 and an app code up the pyramid for instant approval...
...or an approval cabal.
Explain it in fine detail, using small words.
We can work around this by coming together as a community to help each other out and band together to meet the 20 tester minimum. Maybe you can help coordinate a crowd-sourced group of volunteers to help out, for free?
Ответитьjust stumbled upon this video and I dont even know what to say.
I have 2 little Apps on G Play, both for free und fun.
One is even just written and used by my father.
Requiring 20 Testers for an app that just displays a simple graph, seems even more crazy...
Also I barely know 20 People? o.O
I work for a multi-million dollar company that has 6 QA people for iOS, Android, and web testing. This is stupid.
ОтветитьThe best fix for this would be to add a checkmark to apps that have had 20 testers so it's optional
ОтветитьGiving away email addresses of others in Europe is not legal. Again, Google breaking common sense.
ОтветитьGoogle needs to open a branch of Google Play dedicated to testing apps. Probably wouldn't be too difficult to get 20 testers, and Google would be able to easily verify it.
ОтветитьI could see companies springing into existence that offer beta testing by 20 people explicitly for this requirement. At least they don't have to be employees of your company, which is what I thought when I read the video title.
ОтветитьNnnnope. Don't complain about the 20-person test requirement. That's the very minimum of what should be done when publishing an app. Otherwise, create your own platform and let people create whatever they want, how they want.
ОтветитьMicrosoft before they killed their testing department only had 15, they now outsource that to individual users. Going forward the coding pool won't be people but will be AGI's doing the work and like 2-5 testerslooking at their work and 1 project lead.
Ответить20 VMs running Android emulation, each one with a different google account.
Spin up the app, let it run for 3 minutes, spin it down.
Done.
It be better if Google just made the shit simple. In order to use play services you have to operate across a minimum of 3 programs with 6 verification processes and they're all owned by Google. If one step is wrong everything is wrong.
Ответитьthis doesnt provide quality apps in anyway. just pushes away indie developers.
ОтветитьI bet there will be a discord server or WhatsApp group or hell, even something like a Facebook group where people will be able to get together 20 or more indie developers to cross-test apps. It's not great, but a solution isn't completely out of the question.
I know in university, even our tiny weekly programming assignments had to be run by 20 different people before submission, and everyone in class just ran everyone else's executables once or twice from the share drive.
First unity now Google
ОтветитьThry know we don’t have that many friends.
ОтветитьI worked in teams which developed automotive and banking apps and there was never more than 2 testers for all platforms (web/iOS/android). How big apps you must develop to have 20 testers?
ОтветитьHave not been using play store on android since it started demanding ID just to be able to make a account, to be able to download apps from it.
Lots of other app stores available instead.
I'm gonna add "Android App Testing" as one of my services. Or, start a a new company to test android apps? hahah! FB groups, Discord, will be could be the solution.
