You might also recognise it as it’s been the set for several movies. As has close-by Lacock (pronounced laycock). Did you go there too? Both get very busy in the summer. I live locally and have worked there before. Once I was visiting a client who lives in the centre of Castle Combe and some tourists just walked right through her side gate and into her garden. She was totally cool and said it happens often and is just part of living in such a place. It is very tiny compared to other Cotswold villages though - more of a hamlet - but some nice country walks on the outskirts… plus a famous and huge country hotel tucked away - and in stark contrast, a famous racing circuit just up the road that shares the village’s name.

Hello from Germany, i lived here and worked at the Manor house as F&B Manager in the late 80s. My Flat was just near the White Heart Pub. It is a beautiful Place and I definitely want to visit it again once in my lifetime. Highly recommended to visit!

Most cotswold villages have nothing but walks and stunning scenery. Bibury is also a stunning place to visit but just pretty walks and scenery is not for everybody
