Don't know why anyone would put a soft top on a Land Rover with a good hard top.

Hi I had a series 2 90 inch with a clutch gone after I removed the gear box which was horrific I realized it was easier to remove the engine to replace a clutch not that helps you now

this is not a restoration, but a conversion, alas, the car was good!

Does the new soft roof offer any measure of "roll" protection?

Nice video, though rather at a loss to understand how replacing the clutch and fitting a soft top is a restoration !

Only just come across this but enjoyed watching it. Just a tip for removing the bronze 1st motion shaft bush from the end of the crankshaft. Pack the space inside the bush completely with grease and then find a bar that just fits the inner bush diameter. Hammer the bar onto the grease and the hydraulic pressure created will get under the end of the bush and force it out.

That’s definitely not the original number plate for that vehicle. It’s a early 80’s vehicle on the a 70’s chassis plate

Erm, you didn’t have to do all that.
I removed gearbox and transfer case for overhaul and renewed clutch by just unbolting and lifting the seatbox up, just enough to allow the shifter boxes to clear it, and drop it down. No need to remove half of the car.

You can add some music to the video... The thuds and noises make it a little hard to watch till the end

First look on chassis, always a disaster_ forget Diesel engine pure shit- 😢- otherwise part are not expensive in England, but custom charge are high. Look always derelict 🥰
