my father and i spent a lot of hours fishing - well, i caught fish. he just got tires, cans, but never fish. i always wondered why he would want to go when he never caught fish. he's been gone for 7 years, and i still cry when i think about those times. thank you, dad.

I miss the days me n daddy would get up on wknds at camp before anyone else (he was used to gettin up early for work lol) n he n I would go fishin n when we got back everyone would be up n makin brkfst. Although I was tomboy so no dress lol. Everyone wonders why I still miss my daddy after 18yrs being gone n I was in my 30s. This is one reason. Miss fishing just him n I. 😭😭😭😭

It reminds me of my late husband and me taking my kids fishing and the fish my son caught a big fish that pulled him into the river my husband caught him by his legs as he went flying he wouldn’t let go of that fish and we had to buy a tank for it so he would quit crying cause daddy was going to make his fish into dinner lol trace thanks for the memories I lost my husband 19 years ago there are days it still hurts but your songs can sure bring back good memories of a man who was a step father of 4 and never walked away from that responsibility he had his faults but he loved my kids
