What the hell is elon trying to say.... Cause he's saying a lot. I just don't understand it.

This man's conscious is still clear and he is raising questions that no one is ready to answer.

Imagine spending $50M, walking away, and spending $44B on a chat platform that he blew up. Sam raised like 1/10 of that amount and not only competed with Google, but beat them. Elon is butt hurt about it.

Lo and behold 6 months later, his statement is true. Microsoft essentially owns open ai.

Musk has no hand in OpenAI's success and it irks him as one can see clearly during this interview. Elon is full of himself and it's on full view on Twitter (X). Having no horse left in the game like Ilya Sutskever to stage an unsuccessful inside coup of the leading AI company in the world, Musk now has to play catch up with Microsoft in reigning in the biggest disruptive technology of our lifetime. Whoever gets to the mountain top first with AGI will control the world. Elon wants desperately to be that man and I'm sure that he'll try like hell with his own AI brand.

OpenAI CHAT-GPT cannot and will not ever evolve to human-type intelligence because it is not known how to program creativity. OpenAI CHAT-GPT does an impressive job of rounding up, organizing, and spitting out information, but all it can do is regurgitate existing information. It cannot create. Creative, human-type intelligence is fundamentally different than CHAT-GPT, but his is dominated by MBA executives with more money than sense.

Why sever ties with OpenAI when you can acquire their employees? Microsoft played the long game, and Elon Musk was the only person who foresaw this development from afar.

Surprisingly, this video gives a lot more clarity to what is going on behind the scenes at OpenAI! Ilya came aboard OpenAI reluctantly, only agreeing because he thought it would be non-profit and bring about AGI for humanity safely. Now the company has gone so far off its original mission, it seems everything from Sam Altman being fired to Microsoft not being consulted about it makes sense.

Elon Musk believes that Earth exists only because of him, and maybe even the entire universe as well. Haha, he would have just taken all of the credit from OpenAI, they saw the future. They KNEW that's what would have happened because that's precisely what he does with literally ALL of his other companies, he takes the credit for EVERYONE ELSE'S work. He's a classic narcissist ego maniac that wants everyone to believe that he's the savior of Earth and that anyone's else's efforts towards said endeavor are either lower than his or that he is the GOD of unleashing. That's where he's lost me personally otherwise I used to really love the guy. Good on Sam Altman and Greg Brockman they've handled the situation really well by basically just ignoring the whole thing. Elon is incredibly deluded, yes AWESOME that he donated but they KNEW he wouldn't check his ego at the door.

I agree with Elon Musk. It should be illegal to start a open source non-profit just to convert it into a closed source for profit. That's why I've been so hesitant of using chatgpt because not standing on principles and your word ruins your integrity for me. It is inevitable that the open source AI community will catch up, then we won't need any of the big companies. Openai could have been the open source stable and their business model could have been offering a robust training platform with chatgpt plus that allows us to easily train and download our models, but their greed ruined that. I wouldn't even mind if they sold datasets as long as everything were downloadable. The AI community won't stand for being locked into a paid API for much longer.
