I was brain washed for the BFG for so long. The fog has cleared and now I have the razed 285/70 17 AT. I love them . Section mold instead of a clam shell mold. Better balance!!

What was the overall kilometres you have done on the tyres verse tread percentage left?

How would you rate the side wall protection and longevity of wear?
Thanks for the vid.

Thanks for the videos I already ordered mine before coming here but now I feel reassured, it's kinda stressful shopping for tires lol. I can't wait to get them installed

MadMatt, talk to me, the m/t vs the a/t which of the two will give up best all terrain traction? I’m not too worried about road performance just want what’s best all round for traction, PS i try to avoid mud like the plague. Cheers Steve.

I have been running these tires out here in the harsh California & Arizona deserts, these are work hoarse tires. I will be buying these again!

Interesting, its only because you said there was a video that I found it - all your other videos I've already watched except this one.

Good honest no B.S review Matt
I am currently tossing up between the Maxxis RZR MT's and Nitto Trail Grappler MT's for my hilux
After watching both yours and another respected 4wders review, I'm sold on the Maxxis
Can't beat first hand experience, and honest opinions from people like yourselves with no obligation to the manufacturers

I run the same tires in the same 33" size on my 92 Cherokee and love them. I agree, mine have developed a little noise after a few thousand but I don't care. They perform so damn well off road that I can handle some road noise. These tires just take me wherever I want. I've also had them in sand several times @ 8-10psi and haven't been stuck once and that was before I released to 4.56's and locked front and rear

Great review. Tires are such a personal choice. I have seen guys buy a certain tire just because it looks cool. For me, I want performance and for where I live, I also want a snow rated tire. Maxxis certainly makes a great tire. I'd love to run a full mud rated tire like that but right now I'm running the BFGoodrich KO2 and have been happy with them. Another guy in our group has Coopers but said he is going to switch to KO2s.

Hi matt.
I have a new set of the 33's and took them out for their first 4x4 day a couple of days ago (1/11/21). Before these I was running the KM2's and I thought they were a fantastic tyre.
Long story short, I drove 3 tracks I'd never been able to do before. I don't know if you know Tallarook but I drove Jenkins (no.1) from the bottom to the very top (where it meets rocky track) and it's in terrible condition. The top half of that track is pretty hard to do.
For those wondering I drive a n80 hilux, 2" lift and twin locked.

This was a great review, I really wanted these tires but when I had a question I emailed the company here in the states and got nothing. So I went with BFG instead. I call and emailed BFG and they answered right away. Bummer cause I was looking to get a set of Trepadors too. No customer service, no sale.

I'm running these on a Tacoma and have been very happy. Surprisingly quiet, and turns the truck into a tank through thick mud. Great on the rocks as well, even with open diffs.

I’ve run these on my Ranger for around 10k now. Most of my driving is on road but I have done a few thousand kays in sand, mud and gravel. I’ve traveled from Perth and done the Holland track, various trails out near Paynes find, beaches, the powerline track out of Mundaring numerous times. I cannot fault them.

Interesting that you managed to pop the bead on these with such a light car. I have these in a 315/75/16 on my heavy 105 series and have no issues running 10-15psi on rocks etc.

Good review Matt. With the pressures you are talking about running, and that side bite image, these must be quite a stiff sidewall tyre.

Sad to hear your rear locker isn’t working. How are you finding the e-lockers in general?

Matt, could it be heat cycling changing the hardness? Noise in hot climate vs. cool climate? The battery level in your hearing aid? ;)

Great video! Im currently on my second set of KM2s on my 80 here in the states. Good mileage but they pick up cuts on the sidewall and chunks In the thread. How do these tires do in that department? Overall impressions next to the KM2?

What a ripper 4wd the Bundera is. I would have thought the tyre gets quieter as it ages. Smaller tread blocks and hardened rubber.
