Hi, Bethany.
I appreciate the great advice. I have a specific question that you or the other's here might be able to help me with.

I wrote my children's book when getting my MA in 2003. I filed and got the copryright in 2004. I'm FINALLY done and read to publish.

I'm not sure if I should use the "Copyright 2004" verbage or say "Copyright 2022" since now it's finally done. I know that the ACTUAL copyright is 2004, but it might be a bit confusing (or embarassing) to put that because people might say "it took you 18 years to finish this book?!" or maybe even "if it's in 2004 is this not the original?"

What is your advice? I hope my comments are clear.
Thank y'all so much.
Van

I created my kids book with a trim size of 11 X 8.5. When I began creating in KDP, I didn't see anything for that size? Do you know anyone who has this problem? And if so, what was the solution?

Do only check Own the copyright if the book is registered w/ the copyright office or can you check it if you're book isn't?

Hi Bethany! I love your videos. Does KDP offer bigger book dimensions? 8.5 x 8.5 inches seems quite small.

Great content thanks. One question. If you buy your own ISBN and planning to use a pen name, are you listing pen name like publisher too? Thank you!

Hi, if an author uses Ingram Spark, should they also publish via KDP, or does Ingram take care of that already?

Hi Bethany,
Glad I ran across your video. It's very helpful. I do have a question for you. Do you need a person's permission to use their name when writing a book?

Hey Bethany! I’ve been studying your videos they’ve been so helpful. 💕
I just wrote my first children’s affirmation book for fun, I don’t plan on becoming a part-time or full time author. This has just be a fun creative outlet for me. However I do have four more books that are ideas in my head of that I think would be cool for me to make however I’m wondering since I do have other books I want to create in the future, should I just use the free ISBN provided by kdp? Or buy a pack? My biggest draw back is the cost and since this is a hobby I’m not too sure about spending that much. However I don’t want to limit myself lol

Hello, Bethany!
I watch literally all of your videos. They are extremely helpful. I really don't know what I would do without your knowledge of publishing books. I have come so far from your videos. I have one question. I just noticed in the video, you set your paperback to $12. The printing price is $3.65, however your royalty for the book is $3.55. Do you actually lose money? Shouldn't the royalty be more money than the printing costs?
