The elephant one so painful

I live in Northeast Georgia and in the spring of 2024 we had three separate species of cicada burst out of the ground and fly into the trees to mate and then deposit their eggs in our yards. This was the first year in a very long time that all three species hatched during the same time frame. There were literally hundreds of thousands of cicadas and their shells hanging from branches and bushes from one end of my yard to the other. They hung around for almost a month. We had the red eyed,the yellow eyed and the orange eyed cicada. My granddaughter loved them and she would pick them up and carry them around and play with them. My yard look like somebody had aerated the ground, there were hundreds of holes every square yard. They say that all three will not hatch out together I believe for another hundred years or so. Now I kinda know what the Egyptians dealt with in Egypt when God sent Moses in with one of those plagues! The noise was so loud it would give you horrible headaches, and even make you nauseous. I’m glad that’s not happening again in my lifetime!

I had a Rhode Island red chicken who laid an egg day from the time she was six months old until she was around 3 when she died. That was year round.
