I think his success comes from him being a much larger and different type of Forward to the other 4 guys. If the other team is set up to counter the Salah/Mane/Bobby/Jota type, when you throw Divock on at 60 minutes it can throw a major spanner in the works for the other team.

Origi has played plenty of good games as starter....Barca home, ac Milan home,Everton home 5-2....he is most underrated player in pL. He is effective finisher and he has to play in the middle to perform best.

Origi clearly has high levels of concentration. But ability wise from top to bottom the other guys gel better.

Origi is actually one of the most clinical finishers in our team WHEN HE STARTS ALONGSIDE THE FIRST TEAM IN THE STRIKER POSITION. Unfortunately, he usually starts alongside our second team in cup games and when he does play in the first team, he's given a go as a winger and not a striker. The Barcelona game and his games before Salah, Mane, and Firmino took over prove that. Klopp himself has stated that he's one of the most clinical finishers in the world right now.

In less than 7000 minutes he has 52 goal/assists would be how a proper liverpool fan would say it ...carragher always puts a negative spin when talking about liverpool....he is good from the bench but if he got a run of games he would also be good

Liverpool should show Origi more appreciation by giving him more time on the field because he is a great player. He is just not getting enough time on the field.

I had a mate in school (still a mate just not in school) who's extremely smart but also extremely lazy with an attention span of either a golden retriever on speed or a drunk sloth... To see him finish his education at the same time as everyone else was very similar to seeing Origi score.

I don't get why he thinks he made such a balls up of it? I think he felt like he had to explain it? And it's hard to explain, but he didn't. It's OBVIOUS what it is just show it and say look at that for how much better he is off the bench. We're not stupid we don't have to have it explained in words. Sometimes it's hard to explain something that's obvious when you SEE it.

Wouldn't say he isn't good enough, he's just got different attributes. Klopp's plan A is more dynamic and pace based with quick bursts of acceleration. Hence the front 3 are typically shorter players. Not that Origi isn't quick, he's got a top speed of 35.15km/h, he's more of the tricky turn and shoot target man. He generally comes on when plan A hasn't worked out and a goal is desperately which isn't very often. But the fact that he delivers so often when required is testament to his quality.

Divock Origi has brought more individual moments of joy and euphoria in my life and 30 years of supporting Liverpool than many players in our history can claim. He’s not the greatest player ever, no one claims that, but he has had moments that will live in most fans minds for the rest of their lives. How many players can claim that? I love him

When he starts, he's playing with the kids: weak defence, midfield and supporting attacking players. When he comes on as a sub: strong defence, midfield and supporting attacking players. Completely daft to compare the two.

He is very calm and decent finisher. So when he starts late, opponents are tired, but his own team is also anxious and tired. So when chances happens, origi is lot more focussed and relaxed, often scoring because he has a cooler head and lighter legs. This is lot less likely to happen when he starts and his opponent is playing way smarter and marking him hard, because he doesnt read game well and quite lazy defensively

But wherever he starts, the teammates around him are also most likely regular subs. So that’s clearly not a fair comparison. A fairer comparison will be to look into Mo, Mane or Jota’s performance figures when only looking at their sub times.
