Apple Refurbished... What's The Catch?

Just wish there were newer options.

I'd just wait for my wife to get her 15 series and take her 12 pro. A 13 pro would have been tempting.

Yet, I found a good example of FB marketplace with 256GB of storage for $550. Met the seller in Starbucks, verified that it had 91% battery health and was unlocked.

I'd moved my SIM from my iPhone7 (you read that right) and was up and running in less than an hour.

What balisong is that?

Guys if i buy refurbished from apple store website is the battery health 100% or not

My refurbished iPhone bricked itself ~10 minutes after leaving the store. Went back and got it replaced for free with a brand new one
That incident did make me question the quality

After the nightmare I've had with Apple refurbs, I can say their quality is very poor. I had to send my headphones back three times before getting a good pair, things like the hinges being really loose and the buttons not being clicky. I also had a refurbed iPhone and it had dirt in the camera lens..... Like ok, never buying one again.

What about battery health ?

Why do we even let you be a company?

they actually dont replace the shells least for macbooks i believe mine came with some scuff marks but u only notice em in the right light like 1 prcent of the time so very rare and u notice it only if u look for it. i was expecting this though and it was a steal for a macbook air with 16gb ram and 1tb storage that pretty much was new minus minor cosmetic stuff

the catch is i get it cheaper for something that is gonna break anyways :3

It‘s good, that they offer that kind of service. But they make SO much money in that. Consider this: they sell a brand new iPhone for 1400$. Then someone returns it, they refurbish it and then they’ll sell that same phone for let’s say 1300$ again. And again and again. Tbh, they make too much money for that same product. 😂

It makes perfect sense that they sell it in a different box, otherwise people would buy it and resell it as a brand new iPhone for a higher price.

They only reuse the logic boards. Almost everything else is brand new.

Fun fact, did you know you don’t have to open your Sim card tray to find your device model just go into settings general about then find the serial number paste it into google and then you go. Do you have your phone or iPad model?

Just checked the prices of refurbed apple phones at their homepage. Wtf. Brand new is cheaper in other stores, so this makes no sense.

I always buy refurbished from Apple since 2018 (ipad, iphones, watches etc) and had zero issues. WIll keep buying refurbished :)

Ik it’s never going to happen but I have an iPhone 13 that totally just shut off one day with no warning and there’s no water damage or cracks and it’s just over a year old, apple said they couldn’t do anything for us so if the slightest chance I could send it in that would make my year lol
