10 Years Later, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Is Still One Hell of A Game

Didn’t appreciate it when I was younger now playing it on my steam deck and love it! can’t wait to play the second one after :D

I never understood the negative reviews. I discovered this game in the last 4 years for the first time and it’s an absolute gem! Even today.

This game sucks. Especially when you compare it to how awesome the original Deus Ex was. This game is just tacky, cartoon trash in comparison.

Imo MD is far superior and Prey is better than both combined

I usually find it hard to go back to ps3/360 era games but damn if this one isnt good. Played about 2 hours last night and might be hooked now

Deus Ex = The Matrix + Metal Gear Solid

I'm replaying this on Series X and it's just as great as the first time. What a game! 10/10 for atmosphere and music. Dark, gritty neo-noir. Love it!

it amazes me how you think this game explores racism and discrimination and not even mention class warfare, despite it being the focal point of this game (and cyberpunk genre as a whole). What's wrong with you

I never paid attention to this franchise and knew nothing about it.. But now upon discovering it seems right up my alley.. I’m a fan of sci fi and find all the Alex Jones, Orwell and Huxley dystopian themes pretty fascinating..

I consider one of the greatest games ever made, along with ocarina of Time and half life 2

The art direction and the soundtrack are the best i've ever heard, i mean, Detroit has a Gold illumination and the music is futuristic, but not by much. I got it in my own GOTY's tier on Steam

This game has everything you could want....
A intriguing story, conspiracy and paranoia, rocket launchers, shotguns, machine pistals, combat rifles, genetically modified super soilders, fema, the illuminati, bob page ect.

It's an average game.

It is a good game, however that's until you start testing the ai and they forget where you are within seconds 😂

If you haven’t played this game yet do so now. This is a masterpiece with a banging soundtrack

I enjoyed the first half of the game... the ending was extremely disappointing.

Playing this with the ReShade mod is highly recommended.
Makes the colour and post process look like Half Life 2 / Battlefield 3.
Looks like the cutscenes in the game.

I found the aiming at target's a bit confusing

This game is in my all time top five.
I got it when it first came out and although the price surprisingly dropped rapidly I didn't regret the purchase at any point.
The game is so diverse I love how there's so many ways to approach each problem, you can sneak about or go in guns blazing.
Or you can bribe or talk your way through situations perhaps.
The augmentations are so much fun as are the weapons and upgrades for the weapons, the story is polished and the overall atmosphere created is so amazing it keeps you hooked.

If their done with Deus ex in terms of the gaming franchise at least put out a film that's well acted and that looks well relatable to the game in terms of the human revolution story

Definitely better than Cyberpunk 2077 and has so much more replayability.

I still play this game to this day in 2022.

When people ask, I usually say my favorite game is whatever I'm currently playing. But I then remember that DE:HR exists and I immediately change my mind. So damn fun.

I've played through this game at least 25 times and enjoyed it everytime. Including the secondary quests, this game is enjoyable and a rarity.

Pick it up if you want varied gameplay where your decisions matter and playstyles allow you to be creative and free when playing.

Yeah, I really can’t believe this game is not compatible with PS4/5. I was hoping for a PS5 collection remaster similar to Mass Effect. Square ENix, where are you on this?

When I get my series x I will be going back to both games, hopefully we will get a new one in the next couple of years, can you imagine how great that game would be on current gen and PC omg.

Maybe my favourite game of that generation. The world and atmosphere, the freedom of options it offered, the gameplay itself, the soundtrack ... a spectacular achievement. Mankind Divided I was also a big fan of but HR was special.

Franchise deserved a proper finale, its legacy shouldn't be massive dangling plot threads.

Eidos and Square need to stop messing around and give us a Third Game.

Human Revolution is easily the best game in the serie just after Deus Ex 1.
And yes, it has flaws but thanksfully many of them can be fixed with mods (Like for example making the xp rewards, the weapons and the augmentations more balanced or improving the graphisms).

It sure is. The next one was very underwhelming by comparison.
