Yo dude dad i got a question bro hopefully you can help me out I upgrade my sons 12v car to the Milwaukee m18 battery the fist time i burned out the mother bored by connecting the Bluetooth control and it burned out the second time I connected my phone to play music and it burned this time the kids where playing with the car and all of a sudden it doesn’t turn nothing burned out in the mother bored the fuse is fine but the motors or not working I think I blow the motor

Thanks for this. Have you noticed any issues with the motor since doing this? Wondering if the extra voltage Will burn the motor out faster this way.

Or you can do it the sketchy way and just connect the positive and negative terminals directly to the wires with no protections like how I did with my 20v batteries

Doesn't the wheel motors max out at 12v? Wouldn't you have to upgrade the wheel motors?

I’m in the beginning stages of remodeling my old power wheels for my boys. Mine is a little different than yours, and I’m having trouble finding a video for one similar. Could I send pictures of it and get some advice? It would mean everything. My Dad was an electrician and knew all of this, but recently passed away.

When you open that usb adapter is there and obvious positive and negative lead. Where to soder the new leads?

They make adapters for this now. You don’t need to get the USB adapter and modify it.

Hooked mine up the same way and light on the speed controller is on so it has power but the power wheel will not move. Any ideas?

My son just got a ride on jeep for Christmas but it dies within 5 minutes of use so I’m so glad I found this video! Will definitely do this!

One thing to note with this set up. Be sure to take your battery out when you aren't using it or else the battery will continue to drain while the car sits and it will kill your battery completely.
