Ticking lifters doesn’t mean low oil. It could mean the car doesn’t get serviced. The hydraulic lifter can gum up and even seize.

My car runs great until it’s warmed up , then vibrates at idle , no check engine light, no miss fires etc, but scanner says vvt fail bank 1 . What could that mean ?

Bruh this was extremely generic. Timing belts aren’t common anymore especially in American models. More than a timing chain/ belt can be causing these issues or affect the chain/ belt. Shouldn’t lead people down a vague diagnostic path.
I came here because I was hoping you dove into the surrounding issues to help narrow mine. But no.
Didn’t mention anything electrical, VCT, solenoids, chain stretch, oil pressure, phasers, cam adjusters/ sprockets.
Idk, maybe touch more base on an in depth version of timing diagnostics. Or at least re name it to “this is how to tell if your timing belt is causing your timing issue”

I always get the ticking noise on the rough cold start and it takes for ever to idle down

If your timing is off on an engine does it reset itself.
