United Plugins - Electrum - Home Studio Simplified Review

Horrible plugin. All the effects are bad. Sims and cabs are nothing special. Regreted the purchase even on sale.

Seems to me this is just some kind of work-saver. Each preset being a different combination of EQ, compression, delay and reverb.

I use the Boss GT1 effects pedal to record guitar direct, it's convenient. The drawback is the preset tones are mostly drenched in reverb and have delay, both obviously not timed to the tempo of the recording being undertaken. It's probably easier to adjust with this plugin than the little knobs and buttons on the Boss.

Please review the AutoFormer from United Plugins too. Its great!

I went to there web site, didn't convert price to local currency, still at 74 euro's I thought it was a little pricy, but looks like a pretty good product, maybe give it few months to see where the price ends up.

Well, I'm not a guitar player, so my opinion is not based on experience. I guess you can do the same or even more with modular systems like AmpliTube, but I like it for having access to all parameters on one screen without the need to switch between modules.
