Why You Wouldn't Survive a Fallout Post-Apocalyptic Wasteland

The only thing I can think of is how he fallout society powers everything with nuclear reactors, which don't take kindly to being exploded, and would disperse alot more radiation over a longer timeframe

The only reason the main character of these games can survive is bc they are effectively immortal. When I play and npcs ask me to do some death-defying shit I make lore in my head that everyone knows my character is immortal which is why they ask them to do all the dangerous stuff.

I sometimes wonder how anyone survives in this god forsaken game world when every natural water source is irradiated, the entire world is stuck in a perpetual summer, and you can't walk a mile in the desert without getting attacked by giant scorpions, mutant abominations, raiders, slavers, deathclaws, or FED remnant forces that KoS.

You said that black mountain was the place that super mutants when it is called jacobstown run by a friendly mutant call Markus that help the chosen one in fallout 2. Also in fallout 4 who can find a Chinese submarine named the yangzee and meet a Chinese man named captain zao who fired the nukes in Boston.

I never stopped to think about it but…bugs in the fallout universe are Over powered, if a small scorpion has enough bite in its venom to kill a human that is at least 5 feet tall imagine what a gigantic scorpion would need to give for a lethal dose. And don’t mention the ants, I’m 99% positive that the world of fallout should make the ants the dominant species.

This actually made me think about something in the Fallout universe One thing that they never really done was make a game where you play as an Enclave agent. Someone whose job it is to basically to go out into the wasteland and either reestablish order for the United States government or whomever runs what's left of the government. It could honestly be a dictatorship in all but the name at that point considering how society devolved over time. And the map for this territory that you would have to carve out would probably have to be almost as far and wide as almost five states. Most likely you will be like 2 to 3 states almost, and then the rest could just be DLC that gets referencd but doesn't have a massive impact. So pretty big. Also of course because it's a video game the irony of it is that they really want to send a singular person out of one of the Enclave's own super secret Vaults, probably hidden in an area 51 style location built out of an old missile silo or something, kind of like the D6 base from out of the Metro games, to do all of this with minimal help. To take over and rebuild the US into what it was in this new nuclear Cold War era of the Fallout universe, and more than likely shoot another couple of full grade nukes at Beijing or Hong Kong or somewhere else (Although Hong Kong is semi-independent, like a city-state). Or that over time the character that you play with as the protagonist would have several different options of factions to choose from and sabotaging them from the inside or helping them to establish their own sort of dominance or collective cooperation within the wasteland communities. Especially if one of your companions can be a Chinese agent pretty much sent to the US in disguise or something else, maybe even as a synth to assassinate US government leaders, most specifically the Enclave themselves. But through coercion or general negotiative abilities and establishing a friendship that strong or even a romance, they might be able to change their minds. Plus considering the world and time frame they live in their orders are basically moot anyway like that Submarine Captain in Fallout 4 who turned into a ghoul and has you kill the rest of his crew who turned into murderous ferals. Or even that by the end you can pull the rug out from the Enclave and establish yourself as like the new president of the “United Territories of America” or something, Unless you're just unanimously elected to that position by the factions that have aligned with you over time throughout the game. I would actually kind of like to see something like that. And it will make a lot more sense than what they did in Saints Row 4 where the Saints become not only syndicated but also mercenaries for the US government and somehow leads to the leader of the gang to become the new president after stopping a nuke launching from somewhere in the Middle East 😅😂😂😂 It sounds so dumb it's almost too good to be true yet that's exactly what they did. And of course they did it because it's Saints Row after the 2nd game where sillyness took over hard gang life Grand Theft Auto clone themes. But I digress, there's a possibility for a pretty good fallout game in the midst just from all of their old data and current gaming generation technology.

Let's face it 90% of the population would become radiated ghouls. Or you would be killed by a rad Scorpion or a scorch beast. If Fallout 76 would be the precursor to how the rest of the Fallout would be, you would stand no chance. Everything is trying to kill you from unpurified water, anything from a monstrous fly, radiated dogs, or even deathclaws. I don't even entertain the notion of how I was survive the Fallout universe. And that's assuming you can get right away and stimpacks.

In Fo4, the mole-rats (in a specific part of Boston) carry a viral disease which acts like such. (if not worse here. since you rapidly decay till you die, within hours of a bite).

But maybe we should just ignore that. I mean after all; this is the same game that has a ghoul kid being stuck in a fridge for over 200+ years and surviving without any food and water at all. or the institute finding pure and uncorrupted Gorilla DNA, somehow having enough of it. To be able to fully synthesize it.......

Honestly the bombs are the least of your issues - the insane mutated humans, man-made biological abominations, and meth baby monster decedents of Earths former creatures are what you should worry about. And the drugged up raiders, fanatical factions, radiation, fucking everything that could happen happened, even fucking aliens.

You would pray to be turned into a carbon husk of yourself when atomic hellfire consumes the Earth, to only see a bright flash as the entire world transforms forever.
