How to Import and Export Media in the New Adobe Premiere Pro CC Update

How do you crop when exporting?

Hi Justin. I'm not sure if this is a bug...
But recently since since v.22+ importing folders directly from Finder / desktop by drag dropping.
It has a problem by omitting the folder and just importing the footage only, for folder with 1 piece of media in it.

Its fine if you have more than one piece of media.

Its slightly annoying as we then have to manually create the folder and rename it.

Have you encountered similar issues or faster workarounds on this?

is there a way to keep the folder structure? for example i select 3 folders that each contain my drone and sony folders with their respective media inside.... after i hit import Pr literally just throws all the media from from those 3 folders into the project with ZERO folders... why!?

One issue I have. All of my files are on my NAS and the create project doesnt give me the option to connect to a network drive. Any tips?

Unforgivable that you can't browse your files currently in the folder when exporting. I now have to open up explorer to do that. Also, what happen to my workspace layouts? Do I really need to go into my View menu to access those now? Premiere should actually invest in some UX testing before rolling out iterations of their experiences.

Typical Adobe, complicating what was a very simple procedure. I just wish they would leave well alone

I'm having lots of issues with this update. Can you not choose to create proxies in the import section anymore??? Also I keep exporting the entire timeline by accident instead of the in/out points. Isn't the whole point of in/out points on the timeline to select what you want to export? Why would they make you choose to export the in and out at the end screen and have the default being exporting the whole thing? Also ever since this update i havent been able to export 1080x1920 vertical HD videos... premier won't let me export higher than 608x1080 which is so strange considering my footage is 4k

All the presets I had saved are not in the new export window and I cant find them, quite annoying.

This update for some reason made exporting way more harder then it has to be. My 30ish minute projects went from being about 1 gb to 9 gb and I don't know how to fix it. Do you have any idea how I can get it back to normal?

I’m still on 2020. Going to wait for a overhaul and optimization for performance before upgrading lol

Does Pr Pro update automatically?

I hate change... My export preset I made before now makes 8 minute videos that are 30gb.... I had to go back to the CBR (constant bit rate) and change some stuff to fix it.

Does export thru Media encoder supported?

recently i hv been noticing that if i’m using the media encoder to export a project, its changing the colours in a weird way .. hv u faced this issue and if yes, why it’s happening like that ?

This update is so glitchy! Things just disappear on my timeline at the worst times, so I have to hit save then close down then reopen and the glitches go away for about 3-5 minutes then I have to close again, reopen again. What a pain! I wish adobe would give us the choice if we want the new and “improved” crappy update or keep it the way it actually worked.

I'm still using Premiere Pro 2020, and looking at this update, I'm not updating....I'm Good!

I think this update is really poor and unnecessary. It's slower to use for me. Getting sick of Adobe. Fix your bugs before wasting time on this rubbish

Has this effected dynamic links or importing after effects projects?

it's such a drastic change I didn't ask for... I use premiere for my work and the new update has slowed down my process! I don't want to have to relearn how to use an interface because they thought they would make it "different".

Also going back and forth between workspaces is such a hassle now when it was just tabs up at the top... I hope they revert it back...
