Should the Superglide Keyboard be Banned?

As someone who has a 90% consistensy with super gliding on console it's not that hard if you get the timing right so don't cheat pls go in the firing range and train

if the wooting is cheating because the performance is better for gaming then get rid of gaming mouses, high refresh rate monitors and high end pcs while we are at it no? not everybody will have the money for these advantages thats just how life is. the same goes for sports and other competitions where gear is necessary. i currently have a mechanical keyboard and i found that i hit 80% superglides when i use sa keycaps so maybe try that if you cant afford the keyboard, since the profile of these keycaps are perfect for superglides imo.

Wooting offer not a crutch or some feature like macros that automates or manipulates inputs, it's a legitimate innovation on keyboard switches.
How the hell do you compare a technological innovation that improves responsiveness to something that gives you an advantage through automation ?
If we go by this logic, let's call G-Sync/FreeSync and Nvidia Reflex to be cheating, because they give you consistency and lower latency than compared without them!

i have steelseries apex pro , does the same thing btw. difference is actuation point in Steelseries is 0.2 and wooting is 0.1. i think its negligible and you can customize both the same.

everything has its own mechanic but lets accept it guys, MNK is harder, n controller in shooter games is broken.
EX: CODMW2/WZ, where the aim assist is so strong tht the 90% fight i fought with anyone using controller i loosed it bc i was against aim assist, you could see tht they missed most of them shot but bc of the aim assist fixing their mistakes they always came on top, it didnt matter if i was winning the fight aim assist was stronger.

Do you Research a little bit better please. I dont offen watch your Videos but everytime i do i notice points and arguments that are just wrong. In the last week i watched your movement tierlist and this one and in bouth are just arguments that arent true.
As an example. Tachyon Mode is nothing special. It just deactivates the Illumination effect on the keyboard to give the chip more Power so that the polling rate can get higher. Without Tachyon Mode the wooting hast a polling rate of 500hz wich is Below average of any gaming keyboard. With Tachyon mode it has 1000hz polling rate wich is the Standard for gaming and mechanical keyboards and even good Office Membran Keyboards have 1000hz.
There are Keyboards wich have a higher polling rate tho. In that rwgard the wooting is not special.
The Real benefit of the wooting is the continous rappid trigger Feature. Not the normal rapid trigger, the continous one. And the most Important benefit of it is not Looting, but the abbility to strafe Kind of instantly. That makes you harder to hit when you side wiggle und makes some movement techs easier. In apex the advantage isnt that big. You really notice it in Tachyon shooters. As for supergliding. Space + C is even without a wooting easier to get working than space + Control could ever be, because you can press them with the same finger and when you do that the accuation point doesnt matter, cause you need to angle your Finger always the same to get the right Timing.

In the conclusion im completly on your side. I personally own a wooting and its awesome. But its like every other Piece of Hardware. Better Hardware always gives you some Kind of advantage and you can Macro your game on any keyboard. So it cant really be Banned.

I find it strange that people are complaining about the variable actuation distance. (For example on space vs control). On any modern hot swappable keyboard you can just purchase a single mechanical switch that has a higher actuation distance and accomplish the exact same thing, it’s just easier on a wooting. The rapid fire again can be accomplished by high actuation point switches, albeit less fluid.

I don’t think the wooting deserves to be called a cheating device just because it makes these customizations more accessible. It’s just a very good peripheral.

It's not cheating if it's just really good hardware. As soon as there's software with macros and scripts, that's the problem.

yess if u dont have the skill to do it the ur cheating to help. i have an onscreen crosshair build into my screen and i find that to be pushing it.

Hey I didn't see anyone mention this but normal mechanical keyboard doesn't register key when bottom out but there will be an actuation point or travel distance where the keystroke regis.

About rapid trigger you can (theoretically) achieve almost same speed with normal keyboard if you practice to press and release.

Example: if your switch bottom out at 4 mm, actuation point is at 2.5mm travel distance and reset point is 2.4 you don't need to bottom it out you just try need to press to 2.5mm and release to 2.4 and press again( but Rapid trigger just easier)

Rapid trigger just make spamming easier but doesn't make your finger control any better.

Wooting isn’t cheating, it doesn’t make you more skillful. Just quickens your input. You’re not going to hit more shots or have better game sense. This keyboard is popular among the OSU community and now it’s getting into the apex scene, I recommend you apex players stay with what you have right now and save the 200 bucks because it’s not going to make you better.

Macros shoud be bannable but a good keyboard should not
Using a utility to do it for you lIke macros on a scuff controller should be bannable aswell..

If the Wooting keyboard should be banned, then all keyboards except membrane should be banned. We should bam all controllers except a single type. No extra buttons. Everyone gets the exact same ps or Xbox controller and nothing more.

I don't think mechanical over membrane is an actual advantage if you're used to membrane's feel. Unless it has objectively slower response time, it's all about preference. Though mechanical rightfully are more popular because people generally prefer that
