Something has to change, undeniable delimma. Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear. Constant overstimulation numbs me
ОтветитьI feel bad for “young” people these days. SO much extraneous bulls**t. I’m 63, a mechanical engineer, building power plants for the last 40 years. Let me impart an idea before I pass on to the next plane: If you’re not making a call, or looking something up, keep your phone in airplane mode.
ОтветитьFor anyone interested in reading more about addiction and dopamine, i recommend you to read "Dopamine Nation" by Dr. Anna Lembke. Incredible book.
ОтветитьBruh have all these ideas but everything just falls apart when you actually base things off a stupid theory like evolution, nahh bro ur ancestors werent a monkey that leant to jerk off like fr
Ответить"I'm really trying to convince you I'm human."
ОтветитьYou don’t know. It depends on the focused intention.
Ответитьi love skill share and i love learning but i dont have card to buy skill share courses
Ответитьif we have a black-and-white vision we do all good things it is boring when we just do our all work. May be
ОтветитьCal Newport 😂
ОтветитьHast du wirklich gesagt „Du kannst sogar Gott verfluchen“?
Bete lieber das du nichts auf dieser Welt erreichst dafür aber den Herrn Jesus Christus empfangen hast. Glaubt mir es gibt nichts wichtigeres!
ok
3 minutes into the video my question is
I always turned off the notification
I never got distracted by notification
So I can't blame that
I make a conscious decision to see the useless things that gives me dopamine even though I know I have exam the day after tomorrow
ok 5 minute into the video
I think I advanced reprogrammed my brain to go for only dopamine
Like if I don't wanna do it I don't even though I get the consequences
OK 9 minutes into the video
I understand I need to set a level of stimulation
I need to find less stimulating thing fun
I had these issues when I was still a kid, long before social media. Actually before the internet.
ADHD?
thanks you
ОтветитьThe most apt video I've seen so far...
Makes lot of sense
Who came here after watching Cal Newport video. Like the comment guys 😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьI love you Man.
ОтветитьЗачётный ролик
ОтветитьYour methods are great but I believe they are not for long run👍🏻
ОтветитьHey, I consume less media than most I’d like to think but when I do my feed only ever shows me motivational videos and stuff that helps me grow never anything too useless. Does this still have the same negative effects as if I where to be watching mindless content?
ОтветитьHe speaks so much sense. I’ve just picked up on this platform. Well need at this well time…. 💜🙏🏾
ОтветитьI can't even watch videos now without putting them on 2x speed so I can easily move on to the next. I am broken
ОтветитьGreat video. I’d gotten rid of instagram a few weeks ago, and this made me delete Reddit too. While I find it useful for when I need to look up certain things, I can use it for just that without having to mindlessly scroll it too. Thanks.
ОтветитьA big mcchicken moment
ОтветитьThis guy looks like the bald version of Mark Zuckerberg 😂
ОтветитьYou are right, I cannot even read a book without feeling anxiety. I want to take a ton of Benadryl and sleep for some days and forget about internet.
ОтветитьThe skillshare ad was positively dystopian after the video topic.
Ответить"I'm really trying to convince you that I'm human" ... Is he admitting that he's actually an AI? Lol
ОтветитьI needed this 🙌
ОтветитьMe, as I'm watching this video while I'm being overstimulated: 👁👄👁
Ответитьone thing i discussed with my friends the other day is that around 8-10 years ago internet where i live was not as widely available as it is now. it used to be expensive and we only had limited wifi packages. mobile data was insanely expensive so nobody used the internet on their phones. and also, the internet was different. nowadays these smart social media algorithms love to shove information down your throat even if you didn’t ask for it, so it’s like we have no choice. wifi turns on automatically on iphones, data is fairly inexpensive and the content just seems to never end.
ОтветитьI'm listening to this while studying
ОтветитьIts funny how people react to when I say I am off social media for over 2 years now...they are like how are you alive or what do you even do when you are free.
ОтветитьI eas enjoying the video until you tried to sell things..😅
Ответить1 step solution: get off your phone. Whenever you have extra time, stay off it and sit in silence. You’ll learn to gather your thoughts and focus long term simply by avoiding the very thing that clutters your thoughts.
ОтветитьI really needed this, it explains why after Covid, everything became boring and I no longer want to do anything. Not even the things I use to enjoy.
ОтветитьPower of suggestion is strong but...Power of not listening even stronger. People talk but most times have nothing to say.. Interesting that is. I usually entertain myself
ОтветитьUnderstimulating you brain is the problem... Most of you statistically do nothing but pursue entertainment, and take the easiest path available. There was plenty of interesting things prior to electricity, the internet, and social media. Everything you consume, yes, virtually everything, from all aspects possible have been engineered to release serotonin and dopamine in order to keep you addicted to the product... Wake up please...
ОтветитьAnd I need a whiteboard
ОтветитьThank you. I needed this.
ОтветитьThis did not age well
ОтветитьYour bald head is super sexy
ОтветитьVideo just changed my life
