Tried it, Can't reach anything even tested it on the one right infront of my face. Google finds the phone you're using to bombard it with their apps and control your life yet if you lose it you lose everything. and HOW can they secure and ERASE it but they can't tell you HOW"THEY" can control it without being able to REACH IT? THIS MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE and it's plainly a MIND Game . Theory 1 They (log you out) of your account and delete the device's connection with your acoount.

Thanks. What if it keeps showing "connecting..." Yours showed the time count once it started connecting. Need to problem-solve why no connect. The internet connection is working on everything else.

1) Does Secure Device give you a confirmation your password was received and is working? I didn't get any message but the password was accepted it seems.

I went back into it later and got the same message before that my phone was not locked and needed a pin or password.

So I'm not sure what is going on with that.

2) I did the Erase Device and got the message that data will be erased when phone is off and turned on again. What if a thief never turns it off? Since there is no confirmation possible with this it's hard to know if it worked.

4) Is it true that unless Find my Device is enabled on your stolen phone then none of this will work?

Are there any other ways to delete your data?

Or...it can NEVER work on ANY device even with everything turned on and the phone in your lap. Which has always been my experience.

If you think it's stolen erase the device immediately. It's very easy to hack into these phones.
