For $20 you get a plastic bag and a bogus instruction and a few wires. You been scam, is what it is. Even i would find it hard to believe that such a tiny thing would do anything other then just for cosmetic look.

I put a chip in 95 325i and it was the best power for $ upgrade I did. The chip was $350 and it was a direct replacement for my factory one. It gave me about 30hp but it changed the entire way the car drove and got rid of the limiter for top speed.

Do any chips work? or are all these plug in tuners scams, like how about the 100 dollar ones

NONE of the plug-in "performance chips" work, or do much of anything, EVEN the several hundred dollar name brand ones.

I tried several of them on a dyno years ago, and they didn't do anything that wasn't within the limits of the accuracy and repeatability of the dyno. This was an engine dyno also. Bone stock T.B.I. Vortec small block Chevy with the factory electronics. The engine was pulled several times with each change, with the same water and oil temps, and then the results were averaged.

Some of the chips said "For best results, must be used with a 160° thermostat, (that you had to go and purchase seperately), and we tested with the factory 195° stat AND then with the 160° stat.

There was NO noticeable improvements with ANY of the chips, BUT we DID see a few horsepower when we swapped out the 195° to the 160° thermostat... 😂

I am surely betting that the small gains we saw with the 160° stat would have been had WITHOUT even the "performance chips" installed.... 🤣

I wish we would have went and put the stock chip back in with the cooler stat and pulled it again, to prove that theory, but we ran out of time on the dyno.
But, I'm fairly confident that the gains WERE strictly from the cooler stat, and had NOTHING to do with the chips whatsoever. Such an expensive rip-off. 😠

Its intended to fleece people who are stupid and it performs that function exactly perfectly.. i say this because you would not believe the amount of car's i see with obd2 plug in fake fuel savers/performance enhancers and these similar wire in devices and people who are selling car's advertising these stupid things thinking its a good mod and its going to help sell a car or win a track day ect.. I've seen hundreds of people around Brisbane and Melbourne swearing black and blue that they work.. its disgusting how gullible people really are..

I see there was a PS option on the screen. That's is what's should have been used and not imperial. You may find that its PS, or HP in DIN format and not imperial or US HP..
Should have done this for something a bit more real like a $150 item with the right connectors. This is just BS
