This is my first time sampling your content and I have to say that I am impressed. The near perfect mixture of grandiosity and cool reflection of the realities of life in the imperium.

This delicate balance is one more often than not found to be wanting by other 40K themed channels. Either delving too deeply into self-fellating pomposity, so in love with their own lexicon and attempting to sound as scholarly and intellectual as possible that the message and story of the video is all but lost. Or alternatively the opposite of things, 40K for dudebros, where in-between the failed attempts at comedy a poorly understood and referenced version of the lore eeks out, giving birth to a new interpretation upon every listen.

This plus, as I am certain many others have stated, your voice is perfect for this type of narration, lending a gravitas to the subject matter that is entirely suitable for the unique dystopian vision of hope and abject failure that 40K offers.

All in all, I am very impressed by what I have heard and I will subscribe without any reservations. Thank you in advance for what I am sure will be a thrilling, engaging look into the lore of an IP, that whilst I no longer play (combination of reasons, I have been priced out of the game and I am strongly opposed to the vast majority of decisions that the company has made ever since they switched to a "for profit" model) but remains very near and dear to me.

The vast majority of planets and moons in the universe are tidally locked. If you look up at the right time of dawn or twilight you will see two, Mercury and our Moon. The Solar System is actually very exceptional for having so few. It’s one of the things that probably contributed to the development of life on at least one of its worlds.

This is perhaps an idle thought, but I wonder which Imperial regiment would win a knock down, drag out fight, the Mordian Guard or the Death Korps of Krieg. I can't think of two more dissimilar regiments, one in resplendent attire, the other in drab combat work clothes; one with iron-like will in defense, the other with iron-like resolve in attack. It would make for an interesting contest.

These guys are everything the Imperial Guard should be. Can you imagine how blinged out their vehicles must be?

In addition to the flak and carapace armor sewn into their uniforms, remember that canonically it is uncommon for someone to not have augmetics. Given Mordian culture, I can easily imagine everyone are basically Skitarii under their skin. Stormtrooper Skitarii with a Leman Russ behind every squad and companies, plural, of Baneblades.

Not a miracle. Games Workshop just has no sense of scale and knows nothing about human physiology and psychology. Or that vast farm fields aren’t needed to produce food.

If the Iron Guard are in a breadline, they would literally starve to death rather than break discipline.

In don’t think the Iron Guard even has morale. It’s more like everything outside of following their orders just doesn’t compute in their brains.

Eeeeh, more like the Imperium as a collective of member states functions like a pseudo-feudal monarchy, though more like the Holy League cum NATO. But, the actual members are left to decide how they govern themselves. Some are republics, whether democracies or not, others are just a group of clans or tribes, others are literal monarchies or fascists or communists, and so varied that every kind of possible human civilization and governing structure and every degree and variation both exists and has numerous other worlds like it.

Chaos wiping out the civilian population of Mordian was probably the best thing that ever happened to that planet. All its problems were fixed and it was then in the perfect position to rebuild in a structured, organized way. Something that was impossible in the Age of Strife or after.

It’s physically impossible for the hives to not be significantly improved. The source of all their problems was overpopulation. Their population was almost completely annihilated. This isn’t rocket science.

The Mordian Iron Guard excel at large-scale battles. And the numbers of the factions that matter in 40k all either are numerous enough that almost all battles are like that or small enough that an intricately coordinated battle by much weaker units will curbstomp them. The Iron Guard is THE master of both.

Technically, following the Astronomican is difficult in the Imperium Nihilus. But is still routine and more like lore flavor than actually mattering.

The guard has always been criminally underrated think about it the entire universe has big fuckin teeth and claws and is all to ready to reduce U to Ur base element's sure if Ur a space marine U got a bit of a chance to last that little bit more longer but the guard there basically U and me showed Which end of the lazrifle to point at the hulking monster or demon that's charging at you all the training in the world couldn't prepare themselves for that it's their courage there comrade ship fighting for the man stood to there right .
