thank you so much for this, im entering sixth form and I'm going to do art, and this helped me so much. but I have a question, how do you make sure the paint doesn't end up dissolving the paper and making it go into bits? I've always struggled with watercolour (like the only paint I cant do) so thanks
Ответитьthank you! 💙
ОтветитьWhat made you decide to go with the long handle on the Blooms brush?
ОтветитьThis is such a fabulous tutorial. Thank you so much🤍🩵🤍
ОтветитьI love watching your video's,so much information. Only problem is I can't see what you're doing as your hand is in front of the camera. I really want to see your stokes with the filbert.

ОтветитьJenna, you're a perfect teacher who can explain very detailed 😊 for very beginners. Thank you.
ОтветитьI bought my first watercolor palette 3 years ago since the start of covid. I haven't been able to truly focus on learning it so here I am, in a beginner's tutorial again for the nth time 😂
ОтветитьYou are a FABULOUS teacher!
I am a performing musician and music teacher who knows how difficult it is to break a concept down, teach what each component is and how it functions as part of the whole.
You are gifted with the rare skills of teachers’ empathy and simple eloquence. Students will understand and remember your fine lessons because you successfully explain not only the how but the most important WHY of the subject.
Thank you for your generous on line offerings.💐
You are one of the best 🥇🏆

I like your vídeo but the overload of colors can let me concentrate 🫣
ОтветитьWatching this beginner tutorial I have learned so much…….thank you!
ОтветитьVery few granulating colors are fugitive. Ultramarine blue in almost every brand granulates.
ОтветитьI have much appreciation for your detailed teaching style✨👌🏽
ОтветитьI can’t draw very well should I learn that first instead of trying to do watercolor?
ОтветитьI can’t make a leaf!help
ОтветитьPatty-I have enjoyed this video. I too, love Filbert brushes. I will re-watch this video again. I know I missed some things. Thank you for your amazing instructions.
ОтветитьPlease include what brushes are needed and other supplies in description. If you are making over 7 figures you can afford a decent camera and get a mic.
Ответить💥Thank you , thank you so much,in this class I learned much more than the last 6 months that I received watercolour in you had ,I going to practice a lot ,to feel confident in my art . Good bless your wisdom . 😊
ОтветитьThank you so much for doing this! I'm a busy homeschool mom on a budget. I really don't get a lot of "me" time, so I've been experimenting with art for 30 min a night. I have no idea what I'm doing, but your videos have helped me so much and is making my experience fun. Thank you again!
Ответитьyour videos are wonderful .ive been painting a very long time ,i think i am not a beginner but it seems most art videos are beginner friendly ,i feel like i should be advanced but dont know what that looks like ,its all good i paint for my passion ,thank you
ОтветитьWhat brand of paint are you using
ОтветитьWhat thickness of leather works best for this design?

ОтветитьHi there, I'm pretty new to watercolor- I don't even think it has been a full year yet. I've been attempting to self teach but I did a lot of research before I even purchased my first student grade paints. I learned a lot in this video but I have a hard time executing some of the techniques, especially the florals. I also tend to overwork everything unless I am working on something with fine details lol
I did want to make a correction though in case nobody else has, and that is not all granulating colors are fugitive. It would depend on the pigments used in the color. Some brands such as super vision are definitely fugitive as they use dyes vs actual pigments, whereas a schmincke super granulating made with two to three lightfast pigments along with gum Arabic (which is the binder that holds the pigments together btw;) i.e. pb29, aka ultramarine blue, which is a granulating color on its own WOULD be lightfast (non-fading, archival). So break it down, a granulating color is actually just a color which uses heavier pigments. The larger, heavier pigment particles separate from the water (or sometimes other pigments) and fall into the grooves of your surface leaving an almost cracked look. In the case of a multi-pigment granulating color- it has really cool effects where the heavier pigment drops into the grooves, leaving the lighter pigment to sit on the peaks of the paper giving you a multi color, multi dimensional result. These come in super handy in landscape paintings to add extra texture and depth you wouldn't get as easily otherwise using a non granulating color :)
My first time watching. I want to thank you for your time it has helped me lot.
ОтветитьCan you recommend a good starter kit?
Ответить❤❤❤ this lesson. I struggle with composition and colour choice and this was such great practice. And the compositions are so beautiful and will brighten up my home. Thanks Jenna!
ОтветитьI have enjoyed listen to this tutorial. I am brand new at watercolor. Do You have your own line of brushes for purchase?
ОтветитьI was so excited to see that you had just done a live video. So very sad that I missed it. I am a new subscriber and just adore your channel and love your artwork and your teaching style. Will you be doing more lives? I sure hope so!!😊😊😊

SO much in this class! Love it all and your color theory comments are GOLD. I watched the whole replay but got swept away back at the flowers and smokey purple leaves. Will be back for more viewing. Thank you, Jenna, plus John and Kelly!

ОтветитьWhen using the wet on dry technique how long does it take for the base layer to dry? Does it take longer for the mid tones to dry?

ОтветитьHi. I enjoyed this presentation a lot. I’ve been painting for about 2 years (self taught) and I learned a bunch of new things today. Thank you so much. Your teaching style and skills as a painter are fantastic.
ОтветитьI'm so disappointed I missed the live. I'm in the middle of watching and following along your The Complete Beginner's Guide to Watercolor video. How are the two videos different please?
