I have faith in the city but support of the state is needed to tackle the homeless issue here. 500 unit to service 2900 individuals is not enough. There need to be some type of Auxiliary services with the DHS to direct people to services. A lot of the homeless people here seem to be a bi-product of drug use.

They love putting the housing crisis on everything but greedy corporations buying up real estate and raising rent and the price of housing between 40 and 60 percent since 2020 knowing wages didn't increase. We need a focus on the so called middle class (which is the largest tax base) as well.

Andre Dick has had ALL OF THESE YEARS IN OFFICE TO FIX AT LEAST 1 PROBLEM & HE HASN'T. He's hidden the homeless while building up COP CITY WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO HOTTER DAYS IN THE SOUTH BC HE DESTROYED ONE OF LARGEST SE REGION'S TREE CANOPIES, HE NEVER FIXED THE FLINT MICHIGAN LEVEL LEAD WATER CRISIS WITHIN A 10-MILE RADIUS AROUND MERCEDES-BENZ STADIUM8 & HE'S BEEN PLAYING AROUND ABOUT "AFFORDABLE"(100K) HOUSING FOR A LONG.....TIME.😂 WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS MORE 2ND CHANCE APARTMENTS RUN BY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES NOT GREEDY CORPORATIONS.9 AFFORDABLE HOUSING IS RENT BASED ON INCOME, NO CREDIT CHECK, FIXED 2-YEAR RENT & MANDATORY COMMUNITY DUTY ONE DAY OUT OF A MONTH. THERE SHOULD ALSO BE GA LAWS THAT PROHIBIT MANAGEMENT COMPANIES FROM PRICE FIXING WITH THE AI APP CALLED REALPAGE.

Fix the price gouging for housing apartment rentals and house rentals.

Bring back the projects and teach people how to take care of themselves, the city of Atlanta just threw people out the projects some got vouchers that they didn’t understand that they will be paying utilities, some people needs projects living they came from generations of living in projects if you gonna go in there and put everyone out of projects and rebuild housing for the wealthy at least teach them people how to take care of themselves

I applaud the Mayor and the city of Atlanta GA.

I have a few questions Mayor...What type of jobs will be available in these areas where the new homes will be built? ....Will these people have access to public transportation to get to jobs that pay a living wage?...We want to KEEP these people housed for the long term. The best way to do that is the opportunity to earn enough to STAY housed. If living wages are not possible or too difficult once they are housed, these people will be back on the streets again and the property will in the hands of real estate investors. I love the housing efforts but are these plans for long term housing combined with living wages for these people?
