One problem in such a monitor. This is the cost of the screen itself. Such a screen is easier to sell and buy a clasic monitor.

The idea is fantastic, excellent but my opinion instead of passing the cable through the front of the screen, you would have made a hole and pass the cable behind so that it is not visible and for the electronic card use an acrylic box for mounting on the wall, for protection of the same circuit.

Only thing I wish you had cut a hole through the clipboard to pass the monitor connector through behind the monitor and it'd be totally clean of the connection wire. Other than that, great idea! Just upgraded a laptop panel and I'm thinking what to do with the old panel.

Sorry my mom can't afford a controller board and I don't have ANY of the materials or tools in this video except for a dead laptop with the screen fully attached.

Why build a screen stand when you own one: it's the dead computer's case. Can't you just use the whole (dead laptop's) case, less the motherboard, keyboard and other computer parts? Why not put the driver board into the now empty lower case half? Then screw the HDMI receptacle into its place, the power plug into it's... put a brick into the case bottom. Done.

Man this is great. You can modify the case by putting another cardboard so that the screen remain protected. Add another screen protector now u have portable monitor.
