it looks like someone just took the band footage from the original video and crudely merged it with bits from period car commercials - the sound doesn't even sync with the shots of the band members singing

Nothing goes with a song about heroin addiction like random car commercials.

In the early 80s, Bernard Sumner developed a heroin addiction after Ian Curtis committed suicide. The original lyrics were, "When I was a very small boy, very small boys did drugs with me. " Obviously, they had to change it in order to get radio play, but some concerts have Bernard singing the original lyrics.

I added this one to all my play lists literally just now and created another one to hold it then the final scene of the oil can and the annoying noise hit me like OH MY GOD......... Christ Peace to you all.......this song has been my theme song for 30 years almost......i put it back to back to back on a casstte tape, I had a dance remix vesion and I wore the tape out.. it is heaven sent.

I were born in the 1985 but I so loves music in the 70s,80s,90s and so on.But for the last 16 or 17 years now music bands are sucks Big Times.All of the meaningless pop music from a young under 20 yrs old singers.I love the vocal of new order and especially this true faith song the instrument's is so wonderful.

 Not bad to watch but it just shows cars. This could be a video for any song. The other one is actually a great video and perfectly related to the song.

I could even to you how many remixes I have of this song. This song will reconnect you to your soul if you forget you had one. You did a great job on this and the cars work with it and the lady's give it a Roxy Music look to it which I find provocative.
