“Have you ever considered calling the bank ahead of time and letting them know you are going to be withdrawing money from your own account?” 😂😂😂
ОтветитьIsnt the whole purpose of having your own credit cart, account number, and id to avoide this type of situation? Smy hopefully all who was involved with calling the police were fired and charged.
ОтветитьHes being so calm, these cops are dicks. Innocent until proven guilty. Period. You gotta investigate? Then why are you all huddled around him instead of sweeping and asking the bankers questions? And whats this bullshit about "have you ever considered talking to them?" Its his usual bank, hes got the money hes asking for, Gave them his ID... He literally did everything the banker asked, and still got the police called on him. What do we call that? Racism.
ОтветитьI thought it was "Innocent until proven guilty"?
ОтветитьIs that considered a false reporting? Cld he sue her? Did she violate protocol at work since her dumbass didn’t consider the card was linked to the literal ID?
ОтветитьThat's ATL for you.
ОтветитьWhy is his dumbass withdrawing shitloads of cash in the first place?
ОтветитьRyan Coogler handled that very well
Ответитьthe SGT doesn't get it. He doesn't get it. He shouldn't have to do those things. You can Monday morning QB this shit all day but the SGT just doesn't get it.
ОтветитьCops were being pretty damn cool. I didn't see any reason to accuse them of withholding
ОтветитьJust because he is a brother, period this is the world WE live in as a black person and the you have to pig explain really, w the act like WE don’t have MONEY
ОтветитьWell bank of america lost an account
ОтветитьBank teller needs to be sued, and the bank.
ОтветитьRACISM
ОтветитьIf this guy has that kind of money, where he doesn’t want to verbally give the teller the dollar amount of his huge cash withdrawals, or have the money counted out on the automatic money machine at the teller’s station, there’s these people called “personal bankers” that people can call up and request the transaction. Or, how about this, do a bank to bank transfer! If he is transferring massive amounts of money to this “nurse”, banks have what are called red flag laws that are set on them by the government. Bigger money transactions have to be reported by the banks to the government to supposedly “combat terrorism” and other illegal doings. Then to top it off, he comes into a bank with not just one, but 2 masks across his face to cover identity. Seems legit. 🙄 This guy acts suspicious in a bank, the cops are called, then the cops are about shitting themselves apologizing to Mr. Double Mask for doing their job. Don’t want to have law enforcement called when you’re acting like a suspicious person, stop acting like a suspicious person!
ОтветитьI'm stressing just watching this a year later. Kudos to him for handling this like a champ. I remember hearing about this but didn't know he was cuffed in a cop car and everything. How terrifying. So glad nothing escalated and he was able to breathe through it. Bravo. Wonder what happened to the teller...
ОтветитьThe officers did nothing wrong in this situation. The obvious problem is with who called for the police and made false allegations. I can kind of understand why the teller was scared because of all the instances where your hear bank robbers pass a note, but that point is moot here when the man had his bank card and I.D. He definitely should've had a private conversation with branch management prior to slipping a note though.
ОтветитьIt was a possible bank robbery to them, they didnt know, it would be the same as a felony traffic stop, the 2 cops were actually way quieter and more discreet than most would be in that situation. I don't get how the cops are the *ssholes here. They were called because of a possible bank robbery, they didn't know anything else but that. Blame it on the racist staff and other customers. There are clear racial motivations to call the police but the police were not the problem.
ОтветитьTotally disrespectful and unnecessary behavior from Coogler. Clearly this was an egregious error from the bank teller. But when police get a call that a group of people have arrived at a bank and slip a teller a note with a large sum of money written on it, they are not wrong to respond to it as a suspected robbery. That means detaining the individuals involved. I see nothing but proper and respectful conduct from the officers here.
ОтветитьImagine a country so corrupt that you get put in cuffs for attempting to access your own money. Absolutely unacceptable.
ОтветитьDid he say he had a gun on him? Or did he say someone with him did? Couldn’t hear well.
ОтветитьI heard he’s a very nice guy. I’m sad he went through this.
ОтветитьIts easier to be calm when youre wealthy.
Poor people that face this kind of discimination are more emotional because for them life is already unfair.
I have been too, and I'm white, but no videos about it for me...
ОтветитьHell I was assaulted and shot at and when the cops came they cuffed me too. They don’t know what a happening. Use common sense.
ОтветитьCoogler didn’t do anything wrong but the way these people handle the cops… it’s insane. Learn to talk to the cops. It’s not a big deal. They’re people.
ОтветитьAll the fuss surrounding this situation, just for him to let it go so quickly and quietly…
Ответить"That's why we detain everybody"
Really??? The teller is detained? The bank manger is detained?
Or, by everybody, you mean all Black people involved.
Banking while Black.
ОтветитьYes, it was a written note... WITH CARD, PIN # AND ID!
ОтветитьI think I will take my money out of Bank of America.
ОтветитьBeing a BLACK MAN in AMERICA is A CRIME, they will NEVER see good in you, no matter how clean your records are, money, success and the positive impact on society, to them your just another successful slave.
ОтветитьTime to find another bank. I'm sure there's black owned banks in Atl.
ОтветитьNumber one, renowned individuals can work privately with bankers rather than publicly and two, handing a note over the counter is suspicious as fk. Officers did what they were supposed to. Whoever called it in was suspicious. Stop the race card too. Officers shouldn't have to take blame for this, so stop blaming them.
ОтветитьI was in a panic attack just watching this back when the video came out.... There's terrifyingly no guarantee that an officer wouldn't abuse this situation and harm him for no good reason. I don't blame Ryan for being so scared. While there was a calmness to all of them to an extent, they were all acting out of line during some points. One officer said "Listen to what he's saying" then later the other officer said "Calm down sir" .... like chill TF out officers, he is being astonishingly calm given the ridiculous nature of the situation you put him in.
Ответитьi swear all American cops have this palpable arrogance about them. it's nowhere near as bad in Australia
ОтветитьYou know the system is fucked up when I get anxiety every time an officer says "calm down".
ОтветитьI'm always amazed by how racist people can be in a place like Atlanta. It's just bizarre. It's one of the most diverse cities in America.
ОтветитьSo a known racist is wrongly accused. Just say that:
Ответитьso nobody thinks he´s being so extra for no reason, gotcha
this could´ve been over in 2 mins
from all my times talking to cops, ive never interrupted them, made a scene, etc
is always yes sir, no sir, and let them do all the talking
and this is Argentina cops we talking about, no body cams, etc.
wild west out here compared to yall, u start doing this bs? they put u in jail for being annoying,
no questions asked
i would have done the same if i were the teller. what was this moron thinkin? lemme go in a bank covered up and pass a note lmao
ОтветитьUSA being USA
ОтветитьIf he was white he would get $100 million payout. Cause he is black he is “lucky” he didn’t get arrested
ОтветитьDon’t do business with that bank anymore
ОтветитьHe handled that very well, all them police officers are police officers and not movie directors for a reason
ОтветитьIt must suck for him but tbh the police were pretty fair here, they did listen calmly and try to understand him. You can't really call this cruelty or racial profiling. For the bank teller, yea it probably wasn't a great idea to call the cops... But better safe than sorry I guess? They could've checked with a manager or someone first if they had a suspicion, to avoid all the inconvenience.
Ответить"Have you ever considered asking to talk to a manager?"
Why would he, and why should he? For what reason should have to jump through more hoops than anyone else? Ridiculous question.
This is how you reapond to police calls. Be polite and reapectful. No screaming, no digging in your pockets, any of that crap. And then look how it turns out
ОтветитьTime to get a new bank brother.
ОтветитьWow!! Truly unbelievable. Regardless of anything, this man's life is changed forever. 5 generations of this man’s family will know this story. America’s systemic racism is a terror story for black Americans.
Ответить
