VELUX New Generation Roof Window Standard Installation Into Tile

My windows is round on the bottom side. I have a space on the left AND right side. When I use the bracket to lift the opposite of f.e. the left side it makes the right space bigger. If I do it for the right side aswell it will even it out back to to the beginng lol. I guess that is not normal?

For new builds do we have to use the insulated frame around the edge

So the hole that you would cut out of the roof would have to be an extra 40-60mm in width and 45mm in height? In the video they mainly talk about the installation baton..

At the bottom mine is pooling, but not leaking, will it be ok,

I fitted my own on an extension I built 25 years ago, but they were so simple then !
That soft membrane skirt all round was not used then, nor was the insulation around the outer frame! Conservation of heat and air-tightness restrictions have been added to the Building Regs since then, for the better, of course.

a week ago I've got the quote for installation £400 per window I've done it myself for the first time it's look perfect just waiting for the rain to see how it goes by the way its easier than what it look 😉

At 2.25 the narrator say that 'the width of the opening should be between 40 and 60mm greater than the width of the window itself' .... does the 'window itself' refer to the measurement of the "window" that has previously been removed or that the measurement should be between 40 and 60mm greater than the width of the frame?

Perhaps one day they'll catch up and show how to fit a UPVC window, I've never seen so many pictures and code numbers in my life.
