Found in the bargain bin at Redeye Records, Sydney.

A pretty damn good country rock album! With Buddy Emmons on it!

Not to be confused with David Paton (with one 't') from the Scottish band Pilot.

From the liner notes:
"As a beginning, some of the things you might say about David Patton are: Oklahoma-born, Nashville-schooled ... free-wheeler ... poet, songwriter, guitarist ... travellin' man. A rogue in the true balladeer sense, without a vengeance. As another beginning, listen to him. You'll be writing your own Patton phrases."

Released in 1972 on Wooden Nickel Records. Side A & B are labelled 'Heads' and 'Tails', which is a nice touch.

To my knowledge, it seems to have been fairly widely released in the USA and Europe (or at least Germany based on online listings).
Never made it to CD or Streaming.
