Painted Ceilings - Bold Colours!

I painted my ceiling gloss black 8 years ago and I love it and my livingroom will be a red ceiling

I have a dark hallway, with a long closet on left, (facing the end) at the end is a sink, with a door on right to a bathroom...u see the toilet, and then u see the other half is a small standing shower...(above toilet is large window)
I want to paint the bathroom blue, then the cabinets blue so they contrast eachother from what little you can see together...I put a huge mirror on the wall opposite the closet and am thinking of medium-ish Grey color...
But the cieling... it already feels small.... so do I use a lighter color for cieling? Darker? Same?
(Took doors off closet, and want it that way...)

It’s genius how you did all those rooms ! I’m in the middle of a unplanned Reno. The house I bought is old dating back to the war time. The owner before me used my house as a rental so some people use the phrase “snowball effect or another can of worms “ if I had to describe what I’m feeling , I would say “a freaking avalanche and can of worms, no no , let’s say volcano of worms 🤦‍♀️😂🤦‍♀️🫣” as he did everything terrible and cut every corner possible and cheap and just asked myself why he did anything S it made things worse IMO ! So anyways think of jack nicholson playing the crazy mental with his hair all frazzled, that’s me on a good day 😂…..
first time home owner and first time doing any DIY really but I love being creative and love colours Nd love things too be bold but pretty. I created a beautiful oasis outside and struggling too have a vision in here of the look too create. I thought of painting ceilings and your video I came across has inspired me and given me a vision, the way you explained it , resignated and brought my ADHD so low that I’m not looking around of the avalanche that happened and Intern can’t see where too start and then just don’t. THANK YOU I’m so appreciative to follow your brilliant talents.

I have popcorn ceilings that have already been painted a few times with Latex. Good condition!
What kind of paint should I use for the ceiling if I want to go with colour? I don't like flat paint.

I decided to chk and see if there was any videos on painting your ceilings... I recently purchased a new home and all the walls had been repainted the same color. At first I was ok with this they looked clean and definitely professionally done. Now however I've fallen in love with a gray when I repainted my hallway. Yesterday out of nowhere I thought why not paint my TV WALL AND CEILING THIS GRAY AND ACCENT THE WINDOWS AND DOORWAYS WITH THE GRAY AS WELL. NOT KNOWING ANYBODY THAT painted a ceiling any other color than white, I knew if my decision to do so looked bad then IM STUCK WITH IT DUE TO THE PRICE OF PAINT THESE DAYS. IM HAPPY to report it looks AMAZING!! I was worried it would at the very least... Make my room look smaller. I'm happy to say it in no way has! :) The baseboards painted in the gray seemed to actually make the room look bigger. It's definitely a big room to start with. Oh my accent wall has built in book shelves and a fireplace that I kept the original color but trimmed in the gray. I honestly don't know why this isn't something that more people do. Anyway this was the first video I came across that shows painting ceilings... There should be more. I can't believe the idea never once crossed my mind before. I'm so proud of my decision to take the chance. Happy painting ❤️

Do you think high gloss white paint on ceiling can make ceiling look higher? I was thinking the high reflection might give the illusion of height, because low 8ft ceilings. Thanks!

Glad I saw this vid! I am planning to expand my room and paint may wall with virgil gray color but I do not want my ceiling to be a plain white. Any suggestion what ceiling color would fit for a gray paint wall? By the way my room is not so big. Just 3x2 meters. Also what tile design should fit as well? Hoping to get some feedback from you! what colors would you use for a bedroom with large window and two doors one outside door one inside for a smoker having problems deciding?

Should you match the sheen on the walls when painting the ceiling the same as the walls? My painter suggested I paint it the same color but in a flat finish
