Avoid this "game" It is probably the biggest waste of time in the whole genre. It's not a good game, its not a good design tool, I don't know who it was made for. Feel like an Alpha release and I don't want it at all. Steam is telling me I'm stuck with it because I played too long at 8 hours. You couldn't possibly see how crap it is in less than that.

An advice from a simcity fanatic and veteran gamer who hated cs1 but fiound in cs2 the new simcity.The game performance needs fixing,but is a very realistic and beautifull game.I have a mid ranged pc ryzen 5 5600 geforce 3060ti 16gb ram 3600,i managed to play on high graphics.Yes its a little bit laggy but the graphics are very realistic and beautiful.Dont go to low settings.Playnon slow speed and try to test the graphic options one by one.The official guide is not for all rigs.Use some time to test all the graphics options.I personally use 1920x1080x50 and windowed fullscreen.I have many options on high and some disabled.The game works charm now.I disabled clouds and depth of field.I still try other things during my gameplay and i notice something paradox : while my city gets bigger I have better performance.I say it again i use turtle speed only.Please stop 🛑 complain and test the graphic options one by one.😊

Your game is one of the worst releases for PC I've come across in all my years playing simulation builders. You should be deeply ashamed of the current state it's in. Unplayable on a $5k+ high end PC.

I think paradox interactive has done a great job overall, and i expect that there will be some city maps with a challenging geographic condition (often with land scarcity ex. like hong kong) where those situations can challenge players to create a functioning city on that condition... it will be fun xixi

Slideshow gaming and the nostalgia of 90's when 30 FPS was best we could have , it's incredible !
Knowing Paradox and CO , there's gonna be 29.99 $ performance improvement DLC in about 3 months from launch !

Apparently you play the game by buying RTX 4090 and hoping it gets stable 50 fps :D

I am not buying C:S2 until the game is optimized. This feels to me like another Batman:Arkham Knight. It finally was fully optimized and its great, but at launch it was unplayable on PC.

Thought you could sneak a half-baked game past us like the rest of the AAA video game developers, huh? Lost a lot of respect from me. Advertising a release date for months, then delaying it for another 6 months on console. Xbox Series X is the equivalent to a higher-end pc (not the best by any means) and it couldn’t be optimized? Despite the huge fan base that uses console to play? Not even remotely ready for higher end pcs to begin with?! Redfall, Starfield, AC Mirage, Cyberpunk, No Mans Sky, now CS2? All broken games released far too early with little care or polish. Money grab.

Edit: forgot to mention giving early copies to a million “content creators” and “reviewers” and definitely paying them to say “It’s Amazing!” When in all reality bugs, glitches and horrible performance issues plague the game. Can’t wait till 2025 when it’ll be maybe playable and the overpriced DLC will have added basic tools and quality of life changes to make it bearable.

Seeing the 50/50 response on this game so far is frustrating . It seems their is a lack a features compared to cities 1. The graphics really do not look much better. In the CGI trailer the cities look alive, and full of decoration. In all of the videos I have seen the cities all look the same, bland. And the optimization like wth is going on with developers and publishers releasing games in a state they obviously should not be released in. Corporates greed is all I see in this game and many like it. Seems like it will be a giant let down, which sucks. Another game released way to early with promises of change down the road. Sound familiar KSP 2 for example. It's too bad, cities 1 is one of the best games to ever grace the market. But lets hope I am wrong, and big changes are made the game in it's current state, and not just painted over with, over priced DLC.
