ОтветитьHi Mark, Love your videos. Im in Adelaide and just wondering have you had any success planting carrots into seedling containers and then transplanting into prepared soil
ОтветитьWhat seed growing chart have you featured in this video Mark? Cheers.
ОтветитьThank you so much. I was wonder if I should wait until the first true leaves got bigger before separating the seedlings into individual trays pods. But your explanation of them being forgiving make sense as to why I should do it now.
ОтветитьWhat are yam beans?
ОтветитьI get them to germinate but struggle to get them past this stage. I don't have the money to just buy seedlings. I want to grow my vegi from seeds.
ОтветитьMaybe its just too damn hot. This is pissing me off. The whole trays about to get thrown. Keep flopping over. Zone 6 in ohio.
ОтветитьHey where can I find that Seed Sowing chart of the best time to grow in the given geographic location im in?
ОтветитьYou are the microclimate underneath my wing, bro. 😊
ОтветитьYuma, AZ has a 356 day growing season!
ОтветитьIf you have a grow lamp and put it on seedlings... do you want, need to give them a rest at night? Or do you get more benefit by growing them 24 seven with the grow lamp also on at night? Hope someone might have some insight on this.
ОтветитьI have grown tomatoes in rubbish soil and it's thriving
Ответитьmy problem is the seeds sprout but then when you need to separate to create seedlings they die or dont grow strong. Im on the central coast ns
ОтветитьGet a dog .
ОтветитьI really think you should tattoo that thumb GREEN.
ОтветитьWhat is the name of that dark green leaf tree please ?
ОтветитьSo much good information
ОтветитьWhere abouts do you grow them sun exposure wise?
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьCan you do a video on avocado’s I haven’t seen any recent ones. Ty, appreciate your work.
Ответитьmark, you are simply the best! searched for "starting vegetable seeds" bc this year I want to do it right (last year not so good ☠️). another video popped up first so I figured why not but closed it after 4+ mins and the guy was still talking about what he was going to teach 🙄. then ur video showed up a couple below that one. from start to finish ur video is packed with invaluable info.. ikr I should've just clicked on ur channel so it's my own fault 😂... but wow ur just the best in my book and lesson learned 👍🏼... now on to start some seeds... g'day 🫡
ОтветитьGreat tips 👍👍👍
ОтветитьGreat information, but have a question, before there is a plant, how often do you water the seeds before they pop.
ОтветитьExcellent guide!!!
ОтветитьWopila Tanka
ОтветитьThank You
ОтветитьReally appreciate the Natural background noise of the birds.
ОтветитьNew gardener here....any seedlings containers that works best for vegetable seeds
ОтветитьOne thing you didn't cover was how much light/sun they should get. I have seen some say to put them in a good lit area out of the sun like under a tree. I'm confused PLEASE HELP I am wanting to plant seeds for the cooler months
ОтветитьI was very enthusiastic and purchased a bunch of vegetable seeds and planned on coming home and getting started. After watching this video, I now know that there is a planting schedule. Thank you for the education!
ОтветитьThanks 🎉
ОтветитьI really wanna come over and let you teach me all your knowledge and practices and tips and tricks. <3 This is so valuable to me, it would be great to get around and be a bit more hands on in these things, and not just a watcher.
I *DO* attempt to grow things on my balcony, and this is going to be my third year of active attempt where I try to grow tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, radishes and some other goodies. Would just be helpful to get the little extra nudge with "remember these things, think of this, if you do this it might be unhelpful for the plant. These are more susceptible to pests and bugs, etc etc." There is a LOT to read up on.. xD
If I used compost or commercial seed raising mixes, I'd always sift it to remove corse materials.
I always disagreed (silently) with my mentors about seed raising mixes not requiring nutrients... never made logical sense to me, and I like your take on this. Very rapidly, once a plant has it's Cotyledons (seed leaves) it needs nutrients, yet frequently we aren't ready (or the planting season not advanced enough) to plant them out and over saturating them with nutrients is counter productive.
Even in organic growing (just like any and all other human endeavours). There are entrenched myths that don't stand up to robust challenges, yet are routinely accepted as the ""wisdom of the sages". One such example is thinning out onions... Tes, widely spaced /dispursed onions (variety dependent) do individually grow bigger, but non-disbursed cluster f***s of onions, while producing less "bigger" onions, actually produce more onion "mass" /weight of onions, than conventional practice of "thinning". This also definitely works for 🥕
This man is the "BOB ROSS" of veg growing
Ответить“Do not feel bad about murdering several of them…” 🌱😳🥺
ОтветитьSadly it's 25-35 degrees celcius here standard, can't put out in the sun like yours
ОтветитьI love your pricking tool - an old screwdriver. I have a couple that I've held on to that will work great. Thank you!
ОтветитьMy seedlings just stay tiny.. getting no to one set of leaves over 2 months.. so, something's not working. Maybe planting in egg cartons doesn't hold enough moisture in the Queensland heat
Ответитьwith the rodents ive found fake birds can work well but i like to place them atop of a somewhat flexible pole so with a little breeze they move a little or ive attached to the top of a big spring too just works a little better as a deterrant if they move a little seems more lifelike i got a few that actually have solar powered light up eyes
ОтветитьVery informative video. All details clearly explained. Thanks.
ОтветитьThis is real culture!
