I showed this video to my mom and she started crying, which made my start to tear up too (I don’t typically get emotional at songs or movies). This is such a beautiful song! I love the video too, being about a mother and a son, as opposed to a romantic relationship.

This video is so emotional. Reminds me when mom took us all to escape an abuse household. Now she can barely afford to house us.

This songs gets me tearing thinking about the sacrifices my late mom did to get me going and scares me if I prematurely leave my wife and kids. I pray for life and thank you Mr. Capaldi

Here I am, 27 years old, having not cried for probably 15 years or so, absolutely in bits because of this video. I can't remember the last time my emotions overwhelmed me, but this did it.

My mother passed away 7 years ago, I never met someone even close to her, so great she was. The pain is still there bigger as ever, this song remind me of our moments together. Everybody should cherish their parents for ever.

This video brings tears into my eyes every time I watch it. Being a single mother I can relate to it in every way. I can literally see myself in her-- I even look like her. I've always had an amazing, very close relationship with my children- it is heart-warming to see that there are others out there like us. I'm afraid we are still the exception. Too many careless, self-obsessed, self-destructing parents, especially in Britain- it's heart-breaking. I don't think single-parents, especially mothers are appreciated in our society the way they should be. Thank you, Lewis, for this video.

What a beautiful video it captures so many moments that so many of us can relate too. The love you feel when you are a single parent can be overwhelming sometimes as you are fully responsible and want to love and protect them but I often spent time beating myself up for not picking someone who would be a better Dad and love them and adore them as they deserve. It can be so hard not having enough and trying not to burden them with your worrries, I don't know if I always succeeded when times were really tough but I did my best. This is such an emotional song and video 😢 at the end of the day its the little things that stand out, the hugs, cuddled up on the couch and trying to make the most of each day ❤ well done to all single parents out there and our amazing kids xx

As a mother of two beautiful young boys this hits home. I would literally do anything for my boys to have a upbringing where they know they are loved unconditionally. And I do my best every day, and will keep doing it always.

My mum became an alcoholic and left my family so my father brought up me my brothers from 10 upwards. Since then I've been through tough times as a mother of 2. I will have my downfalls and hating myself for doing nothing perfect but my girls know I have done all I can, and will forever try to do all I can make them happy. So I've made it my mission to never let my kids down. But I've done all... been late for school runs, sacrificed my hunger for my babies, dealt with calls when my babies just needed my Attention. . But what i get from this video more than most is that regardless of it all, it's not only meaningless but pointless without love.

My daughter passed Feb 2023. All this song should've been her watching her 2 sons grow up.

my mom has stage 4 cancer (all over the place,lungs,bones,spine,a peace of brain since her legs don't work anymore)
as im typing this she is still with us,turned 56 this year and it still didn't hit me,didn't cry once it's weird idk why
im just sad and i wanted her to live 150 years if she could,idk when is her last day,could be 2-3 days could be 2-3 weeks but i am sad and trying not to think about it :(
