Stack up all those branches for fire starting.

I always Bushcraft pack at least 100# of nails and my pneumatic framing nailer with 50hp diesel air compressor just in case I should find myself in a "SURVIVAL" situation like this. I had an electric air compressor, but the extension cords needed for that were somewhat impractical. Like yourself, I also never bother with sleeping bag or tent since I always carry enough tourniquets to make primitive bonfire shelter or to serve as emergency food after being boiled in a few changes of homemade mead seasoned with butterfly wings.

Like your flooring. A lot of work though.

Why do those survive or the nature of grid builds always feel like it's just a few steps away from a road. There is not a chance they carry all those things with them for a longer way. No no

While this style of bushcraft construction is entertaining to watch, I keep looking for a good channel that will show only natural materials, with zero or very few modern tools. Once you add in modern cordage, nails, wire, plastic sheeting and a dozen or so tools, logs as building materials really could be 2x4s without much difference. Not that I'm complaining about this channel or methods. But a few of the other kind of videos, maybe even a second channel, where a non-leaky roof is made of perhaps split shingles, thatch, or other natural materials, at a decent rain-shedding pitch angle, a clay-mortared fireplace, etc., etc., would be a real hit with this audience/community. There are many channels out there where such primitive bushcraft shelters are done as a temporary survival measure. But having such projects be of a longer-lasting, 'thriving-over-just-surviving' type situation, is what I mean. Surely before such tools and materials as we have today, our ancestors went through this stage of building up to where we are. Going into the forest with nothing but a head-full of skills and knowledge, of how to fabricate tools, shelter, food-gathering, etc., and being able to build something sustainable and longer-lasting, just by living off the land, THAT is the real bushcraft challenge!
