I like how this scene not only violates a major rule of time travel (to not interact with anyone from the past) but it's also exactly what Thor needed.

1- to hear his mother's wisdom about being who you are
2- getting his confidence back by getting tangible evidence that he's still worthy

From this moment on, Thor is back.

Past Thor had to be like, "Yo, what the fuck? Where is Mjolnir going?"

I am confused by this scence. If the future Thor takes away the hammer. How did the hammer come to him from the present Thor? And then again the broken hammer pops up in Thor Love and Thunder. What happened to this hammer which the future Thor had taken.

I love how Frigga probably knew that she is not alive in the future where her son came from.
And yet despite that, she prioritize the well-being of her son first and foremost even with the information of certain death.

Y’all remember when characters had emotion. I wish modern marvels had this !

Thor has the right to be sad, TBH, I'm surprised he could even think straight rather than going crazy eventhough he's on the edge of it, he's LITERALLY lost everything and everyone he knows, his Family, His Comrades, his Home, his Father, his Brother, his Mother, His Lover Jane and now, one by one, his friends are lost either by sacrifices or at the battlefield.

hands down the second best scene for me in the movie… obviously the final battle takes the cake

This scene made me tear up. Frigga reminds me of my own mom. I’m really lucky that she’s still with me😭❤

"Don't change future " But eh right now he did change it because if he take the hammer that's so stupid, because if he take mjonir with him what is past self will do, if you think about it in ragnarok his hammer got broken by Hel, he got the storm breaker avenger infinity war, in endgame he got is hammer back by going in the past so in the fight with the thanos from the past he use both weapons and after that in love an thunder he have is hammer in piece but still "alive" i think , so i miss something or maybe at the end of endgame steveroger goes in every past where some of the stone are located and he maybe put the hammer back in the past before the dark elves arrived to kill is mother

My mom just died 2 days ago.

If you didn't cry, get misty eyed or at least get chocked up during this scene, you got ice cold water running through your veins

People don’t realize she also got one last good moment with her son too

Frigga knew she will not be there for Thor in the future, she still not want to know what will happen to her, and just give a last prep talk to Thor

What if you're constantly being pushed to be someone you know you're not?

The hammer scene gives me Goosebumps.

When you compare this scene to flashpoint, it really breaks your heart when thor has lost everyone and barry lost his parents and it broke him.

The only change i would have made in this scene is the music at the end. It should have been a more epic version of the first thor films music when he sacrificed himself to save earth and proved himself worthy once again, it would have been more fitting and added to the gravitas of the whole doubting himself but learning that he is still worthy of his hammer.
