How to Move Tracks in Audacity: Step by Step Guide to Moving Audio Tracks in Audacity 3.1

How do you move a single track? It moves all tracks when i move one track

Would have been nice to have an explanation as to why sometimes Audacity will not let you grab the clip and move it, which is what I came here looking for.

My all tracks are moving while i try to move one what to please someone tell😢

Is there any way to select and move multiple clips at the same time? I've tried numerous keyboards commands to try selecting multiple clips so I can drag them together but nothing seems to work.

So update Audacity got it. I don't know what fucking idiot forgot to add a feature to simply drag tracks but I'm glad it's fixed

There is no hand

Is there an easy way to take clips from a track and have them on their own separate track without creating a new track manually. I can't find a shortcut for new stereo track.

But since the track has 25 different clips, is there a quicker way than dragging each one to a new blank track?

If I have a tiny couple second track but I want to move it a large space, the grabber icon does not appear on the handle. I have to zoom in but then I'm only able to move the track bit by bit. Any advice or tips on how to work around that?

With Audacity 3.3.1 - dragging and dropping some music on. The "hand" cursor is not shown - only a "do not enter" sign. Preventing moving.

This doesnt work, on 2023 version, no time shift tool, just a circle with a line icon when hovering on the name

both my tracks are moving at the same time. like in your example if I try to move one it moves both. how can I get select one so just one of them moves and not both???
