Instead of buying BB phones people should look into BB stocks that are at 20 year lows and many hedge funds seem to be getting in. I feel there is an accumulation going on because their price to sales ratio is just at 2.07 now. Which is extremely cheap. The reason the stocks dipped so low is because BB decided to raise 194million in cash to pay for maturing notes with fresh notes at 3% interest. BB seems to be big into Software Defined Vehicles with their Blackberry IVY, Blackberry Sound and QNX software and Hypervisor. AWS seems to be a major partner on the QNX. At 1.67billion market cap it is only a matter of time before someone buys them outright.

I definitely miss physical keyboards. My last BB was the Bold 9780. I personally loved the smaller size of the 7100 and Pearl 8100 models. My last 4 SureType models were the 7100t, 7105t, Pearl 8100 and Pearl 8120. I also had a few full sized models (7730 and Bold 9780).

Give me one of those phones with updated secure software and a bigger touchscreen and I will ditch the iPhone in a heartbeat lol

I agree we definitely need more phones with keyboards, hell I'd be happy if someone even launches a budget phone with average specs. But have you thought about using clicks keyboard? My iphone doesn't support it but your does!

My Samsung Galaxy S21+ would be gone in a heartbeat if Blackberry ever came out with a keyboard phone again.

Looks like there's something called Clicks that's coming out for iPhone, where you can attach a keyboard embedded in a case for newer iPhones. I'm hoping the company makes it for Android phones.

We just need a new passport, priv and key phone with stock android and proper cpu. That's all blackberry got to do. I would sell my iPhone instantly.

I've been saying since 2013 or so that we need autocorrect with a comprehensive engine built in it, now that AI is out and growing we do have the opportunity and tech for this.

maybe my circle is small; but I would say the need for things such as these are greater than you are estimating; the CLICKS keyboard looks promising; if only apple allowed us to do the flashing status lights that you can customize; kind of like blackberry did; also unihertz; and idk why apple cant add something like that in; im still using my old iPhone 13 Pro; but I may only upgrade because of the CLICKS case; almost stepped down to a unihertz; I really hope a happy medium comes along soon!

It is amazing how strong the demand is for a new BlackBerry phone and I completely agree with everyone, but BlackBerry will never bring back the phone on their own. The only hope for a new BlackBerry phone is if Amazon buys BlackBerry. Amazon could bring back the BlackBerry phone as a secure partitioned (think hypervisor) device running both QNX OS and Android to solve the "Bring Your Own Device" problem and provide a seamless interface with vehicles within AWS's automotive ecosystem (similar to Nio, Geely, Tesla etc. initiatives ). Amazon already has a cellular network offered on Prime which would enable a fast launch and there could be future opportunities with the Kuiper Project. Amazon offering a BlackBerry phone would also get Alexa embedded on another endpoint (in addition to the home and vehicle) and would provide for numerous cloud, data lake, and AI opportunities but most importantly, the die hard BlackBerry consumer gets back the device they love. If you all want a new BlackBerry...start messaging Andy Jassy and Adam Selipsky or posting on the AWS and Amazon social media pages.

Agreed! I’m still upset that AT&T forced me off of my Blackberry a few years ago. They literally shut my phone off. I’d buy a new blackberry in a heartbeat

I would like a Blackberry as well. I can't type a single sentence without error on a glass plate. I don't care about Blackberry's security stuff, I'm no secret agent or government official, I'm just an average guy who really appreciates the tactility of a physical keyboard.

Been a fan for years, huge Blackberry guy. Have you tried the iPhone Clicks case yet? I may try it as an interim all though I am an android guy.

When I type on a pixel i have a bad time. This happens to me on any glass slab. My first smartphone was a Palm treo 600. My last smartphone with a keyboard was the Blackberry Passport. I still have it and wish i could just upgrade the internals.

I totally miss the blackberry, and it would be awesome to see it come back, but in the meantime, Mr. Mobiles' new product, while it definitely won't replace Blackberry, it does look like a promising way to fix iPhones typing shortcomings

Using Gboard is just like typing on a physical keyboard. I am Hungarian and we have special characters like éáöüóú and with that special layouts. (so á should not be long press 'a' and there) but next to letter L on the right. If you're used to typing with 10 or more fingers it's a significant thing having these characters where they are supposed to be. And ONLY Gboard does it right! Swype was the first one but they are end of life now.
This is one of the reasons I am unable to switch to iPhone.

Unihertz gave it a good try, but I think were not funded enough to push out a higher end product. The Titan Slim should have been a polished superior version of the BlackBerry Key2, and they would have cornered their niche market. I get it through production costs hurt the product completely. Companies don't realize oder people with money will pay for a nostalgia phone. Thanks for speaking up! I think you have a voice companies watch.

I always wondered why BlackBerry never pursued making just a keyboard that sticks to any phone screen and transfers the physical keyboard presses to the glass? This tech exists for a while now. Shame

Yes please! I miss the keyboard on my BB classic.

You already know the reasons why there are no more BlackBerries. The only options we have are the Unihertz Titan line, the F(x)tec Pro1 X (if you can even get your hands on one) and the Planet Computers Astro Slide 5G (if you can even get one, and it's the only 5G keyboard phone in the entire lot.)

I'm using a Unihertz Titan, and I have been for nearly 2 years now. Both the BlackBerry Key2s I owned developed battery swelling/bloat after about a year and a half, but this Titan is still going strong! I wish Unihertz would make a newer, 5G version, but I guess we'll just have to see what 2024 brings us. 🤔
