His sp3s are of course insane, but he’s also a cheat code for energy adoption ice/lightning as well as hazard shift shock lanes. These are still being thrown in in act 7 and 8 making him still completely modern day relevant.

Also good choice on the Overseer. In a lot of ways he’s actually probably a better champ than Cap nowadays and doesn’t require any workarounds, eg specific classes on your team.

Gambit is pretty damn good. Build up his cards and then heavy at 10 cards to turn them into prowesses and then smash that sp2. He gets perfect block with horseman Apocalypse synergy. Gambit becomes a cheat champ
