WHAT KIND OF TRICKERY IS THIS!!
ОтветитьGreat content. You made my day watching this method. Now I have justified why I do not need to rush getting that expensive jointer 👍😀🙏 Gracias!
ОтветитьI joint just using my fence with no jig... works great.
Ответитьthis is amazeballs!!!!!!
ОтветитьBro…… Bro man bro I love this. Thats amazing east to make and can be used from a random scrap piece lift over. Amazballs im about to get of you tube and make it
ОтветитьWhy can't you just use the fence? This seems like something you would make if you didn't have a fence. Why wouldn't ripping the thickness of the blade on one edge of the board, then flipping it and put that edge on the fence and ripping whatever length to get the board size you want, work? I don't get it.
ОтветитьGreat idea and nice job..👍
ОтветитьWow! Genius.
ОтветитьLove the vid nice simple short vid that tells you a lot when you can’t afford something big like a jointer , genious
ОтветитьSimple + useful = efficient
ОтветитьI like your videos. The are very informative. Thank you.
ОтветитьAwesome video. Keep up the great content
ОтветитьThe fact that this can be done on site with scrap makes it an extra killer trick. Thanks!
ОтветитьThis is very good. I'm going to remember this. I saved the video.
ОтветитьUse a 4x4 or x6 for face jointing.
ОтветитьVery simple, great job!!!!
ОтветитьDUDE!!!
That Is Slick right there. WoooWee! man I like that. Thank you for sharing it. I'm only mad at myself for just now seeing this (lol) Wow, thanks again man, I'm gonna use this From Now On
Can you please explain why do we need the extra board and can't simply run the material through the saw taking off a little bit of material? Is it because of the rounded edge? Or maybe something that will help us to avoid resetting the fence over and over again? Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat. This is also a better method for dust extraction
ОтветитьWould that work for 6 feet long board?
ОтветитьSierra de mesa DEWALT
ОтветитьI'll subbb
ОтветитьOK, that was pretty slick
ОтветитьBrilliant...!
I don't have a jointer, but I do have a table saw 👍
Awesome! Thanks for the demo.
ОтветитьSo simple and therefore brilliant! Your presentation is excellent.
ОтветитьWould this work for taller piece that are like 1 3/4” or would the reference piece need to be taller too? Pask Makes a much taller one and uses something thin like laminate sheet to add the thickness of how much is planed off but his requires a jig and more plywood
Ответитьyour are best!!
ОтветитьIm like, duh. I’ve actually built a small scale joiner that would joint and radius 1/8 plastic slats. But I couldn’t think of this idea. Well done!
ОтветитьThanks much! Seems most of these videos assume you're working with on a gigantic table on a cabinet saw, along with the matching gigantic jig. Whereas I have a relatively small job site saw, just due to lack of space (my "shop" is also my garage, which is the proverbial 20 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag, and I have to work in the driveway). I see a lot of your videos are showing tips that would work well on our smaller saws too, and I really appreciate that.
ОтветитьThis is the video I needed...thanks
Ответить2 years later, you're helping me with this trick. Just getting deep into woodworking and was trying to find a solution without a jointer. Cheers!
ОтветитьGreat video! Would this work for long live edge boards (7-8ft)? Thanks!
Ответитьhe said he wasn't going to make a jig, but then he made a jig ;)
ОтветитьOkay, I got to admit this "one trick all jig-makers hate" is brilliant. I would say its even more effective than a jointer for sides.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьBrilliant! Thanks for taking the time to share! Oh, and thanks for not making this a 20 minute video! Right to the point!
ОтветитьNice, Very Nice.
ОтветитьLove this video! Out of interest, have you experimented with different tablesaw blades/number of teeth; if so, have you tended to find that the cleanness of the cut is improved by a greater number of teeth?
Ответитьthis was awesome! thanks for sharing this with us.
ОтветитьBEtter than other techniques =) so good, tankss
ОтветитьYou share the most simple solutions to often seemingly difficult situations and show us how it can be done. Bravo and Thanks!!!
ОтветитьDude, long-time viewer first-time caller. I finally tried this today while rushing to fix my daughter's doll bed. Fast, easy, and accurate. Love your content, thanks heaps.
ОтветитьNever would have thought of that - absolutely brilliant. 👍Thanks for this.
ОтветитьCan't believe I just found this. Mind blown! Thank you!!!
Ответить👌
ОтветитьThanks 🙏 you're awesome I have several cuts of plywood that I have needed to fix for a long time that I messed up back when I first started woodworking thank you thank you
ОтветитьUnless I'm overthinking it, this will work only on short boards. Example from where blad starts to beginning of fence jig is say 25 inches. If the board you're trying to joint is, say 48 inches and the bow is almost the entire length of the 48-inch board, then this method won't work. The fence jig has to be able to span the entire bow in the board.
