TenZ on How HIGH PING counter LOW PING Player

bro i have unstable 60 ping + packet loss how should I get out of silver?
I mean, im doing pretty well but because of ping i feel i cant show off my skills (if i even have those lol)

me plalying of 250 ping

with 60-70 ping you lose angle advantage, fire speed to someone with 40 or 50 ping

dude I was so happy to have 60 ping and this guy just.. 😭😭

Then there is me me who plays with 90-100 ping happy that it isnt going above 350.... FrFr for me 70 80 is a sweet spot.

My ping is 120 because I am from Cabo Verde, and the closest server is Frankfurt. I always wondered what it would be like to have decent ping 😢

I got to the threshold of high e l o and it just felt like this happened too much. Like everyone at this level knows how to squeeze advantages out of situations. Hard to explain but TenZ connected the dots perfectly for me just now. I was on the verge of hitting immortal on solo without having tons of hours and games invested and I decided against it. Kept running into the same weird situations and scenarios. I’m not about to let Riot games make me chase my tail. Have gotten out of the ranked rat race as a result. They preach about competitive integrity, unfortunately in this game especially in ranked it feels nonexistent.

I started playing other games. Left my account at ass3. Mental improved.


Also I played on 13-25 ping exclusively and the situation he explains at the end of the high ping player swinging wide but dying close to the end of the wall happened to me way too much times for me to count. I will be swinging wide as hell and on my client I’m cool but then I suddenly teleport close corner dead …in a split second too. Which is the most confusing part.

what if you play on 450 to 2,000?

Ppl are crying about 40 50 ms tf, i got gold playing on 160 200 with cringy packetLoss

It is so annoying to play with people that have over 100ms up to 900ms ping, and makes any multiplayer game virtually unplayable.

Therefore:

There should be a universal agreement that a geo / ping lock against all players with a ping over 100ms or with packet loss over 1% is absolutely needed in multiplayer games in general.

There should also be a push for more dedicated servers on all continents, so that noone is left out.

I get 6-7 ping , and 300-400 fps but i hardly play any game

I mean, he's kinda right. Playable ping is up to 150ms, for most people above 100ms is unplayable. But a GOOD ping for gaming has to be below 50ms. Basically half of the lowest ping most can play on.

the ppl saying they get stutter and teleporting at high ping (180+++) are having actual packet loss and real internet problems.. i have to play on 230~ping NA server to play valorant with my gf and it's buttery smooth except for as TenZ said, having to be the aggressor in every single scenario. which is hard as a new player because i don't know where to look/be

I play on 500ping but the one round my internet decided to give me 50 ping i 4k with yoru

My ping is around 25 and obviously no issues there. Although sometimes I have 2-3% packet loss for no reason. Usually goes away pretty quick

My ping js a roulette, sometimes its relatively low at 60ms but i get 200-500ms spikes out of nowhere, then my ping will stay at 150ms consistently

180 - some troubles
160 - Playable (Singapore)
150-110 - Just okay (HongKong)
100-70 - Feels good (Tokyo)
70-0 - Godlike
