I have had my leatherman for over a decade and it has served me perfectly. This device looks like it is a rip off of the leatherman design.

They are completely out of stock on every site they are sold on including WorkPro's own site. Also I don't trust Chinese made tools. I have had WAY too many bad experiences with them. I will pay a higher price for a better quality and non-chinese made things.

You can carry only one multi tool, why not carry the best, nothing outlast Leatherman, Leatherman is just the rolls royce of multi tool, even at the start you buy the cheap Chinese brand but eventually you will upgrade to a Leatherman so why waste the money at the beginning 😂

I have a sidekick that I carried with me when I served in the army, still works great but I don’t carry it as much since I am worried about loosing it now. This seems like a great replacement for a edc. Thanks for the video! 😊

Wave user for 10 years. Never had an issue with pinching between pliers. What i like is the safety feature that locks blades when pliers are open. This feature doesnt exist in those clones and one cam see in your video where the blade opens almost by itself. I'd be scared to get cut while using pliers. No need for spring loaded pliers in my case. With LM, you also oay for service, warranty and the development/design. Sure you can get cheeper with ONLY copying proven design.

I work maintenance and have tried several. Multi-tools should be considered a last option tool only for bags or the car. They don't do anything well, half the crap on them you will never use, and they're too heavy for what they bring to the table. A Milwaukee Fastback 6 in 1 and a 6" Knipex Cobra pliers is a much better carry option IMO.

This is almost certainly a better tool than the Leatherman Rev. I bought two of those at Costco and they were both garbage and basically unusable.

Looks like it's no longer available on Amazon website at all.. any idea how to buy it now or if it's coming back or what to replace it with.. I can't believe it went from just coming out to no longer for sale in 2 weeks..

When I received this WorkPro 18-in-1 multitool (purchased after this particular, enthusiastic review), found that the outer implement wood saw wouldn't lock into position - all other tools , both external and internal, DID lock firmly into position.

The only way to get the woodsaw line lock to engage was to use a screwdriver to force it over, and repeated attempts to do this to wear in the lock face were fruitless.

I started a return to exchange for a replacement, but wouldn't receive it until mid February 2024 at earliest, and it being end of December, and the original faulty multitool having to be returned by Feb 1, 2024 to avoid being charged for the replacement, I figured this wouldn't end well if left to chance so I disassembled the end of the multitool securing the woodsaw, and (lightly) filed both the liner lock and the woodsaw blade tang to get them to positively engage (after which I cancelled the return).

* In the repair process discovered that the woodsaw has exquisitely sharp teeth, and so baptized the multitool with arterial blood from a few cuts on my thumb.

Working in a marine environment, no matter how nice their kit is I will never buy a leatherman multitool (or Oakley sunglasses).

This does worry me for Leatherman. I have carried one every day for years now. I got into them when the wingman was on sale and then upgraded to a charge +. My main dislike is that it isn’t spring loaded like the wingman. Unfortunately I have seen the prices grow and grow, as the cost of materials and labor have increased. I am going to attempt to remain loyal to Leatherman for providing quality products made in America for as long as possible - but to someone on a budget looking for their first multitool.. The wingman is now out of reach. This one isn’t. As everyone’s budget gets tighter - buying one of these, even if it lasts half the time you as the leatherman counterpart, you can buy another and still be ahead.
