HOW TO CROCHET this Easy and Beautiful Hat | Easy/Fast crochet hat/beanie for beginners|Ribbed hat

Really want to try this hat out. If I have Aran wool, which I believe is the same as worsted yarn in the US, do I need to add an extra chain/change it at all?

Was a second skein needed to finish it off? I need two more inches on width and don’t have enough yarn with this. I used an 8mm and could probably tighten my stitches, but they aren’t super loose
