PlayStation dropped the ball on this, it has to be tethered to your phone. On Xbox it’s just a 1 to 1 integration. Everything is right there on the console.

Cmon guy’s, you gotta add it to the ps4, most players in the PlayStation community are ps4 users.

Is anyone else having issues when using the PS5 discord voice and not being able to join the locked/private discord voice channels when you're being put into them by the discord admin/owner?

I can only hear the voice chat on my PS5 controller, and not on my TV. Is there a way I can change this setting such that I can hear both the game and the voice chat on my TV instead?

I don't get why it needs to be this convoluted. You have to join on the PS5 through the discord app on a different device? Like, why not just add the option to see discord channels on your PS5's game base screen? What, are Sony and Discord small indie companies that can't afford a programmer?

So do you have to join via your cell phone everytime? Or can I just join directly from ps5? Can Xbox join directly from Xbox? Discord connectivity is my deciding factor on which console to get.

For anyone wondering how to join voicecalls from the new UI/Update
When you join a call there is a speaker icon in the top corner
Tap it
It will take you to a different menu where you can click playstation underneath the external device tab

I should just be able to see all my friends PS parties on Discord pc and immediately be able to join imo. Without my ps5 friends having to get discord create account link account etc.

Thank you for the video, very good tutorial. I just still don't understand why we can't just download discord as an app directly to our PS5 instead having to turn on the computer every time to do this. But I suppose we will get there in the future.
