Str8 LOL "in the future, people will want to read..."
ОтветитьSo Ford had to pull a ford model T again to save itself.
ОтветитьAh classic Jason Cammisa, retreading ground Regular Cars already covered
ОтветитьYou know it's just a Sierra/Mondeo right? From the jellybean to the last version. Except that weird oval one, thankfully we never got that over here.
ОтветитьGotta love old school FWD Fords
ОтветитьOk. How about the mid 90’s thunderbird SC??
ОтветитьMy uncle used to own one of these, and it was such a blast to be a passenger as a kid. I was never in anything remotely like a performance car until that day and it was unforgettable.
ОтветитьUltimate Q ship.
ОтветитьAnd just to think, Ford doesn't even produce a sedan in the US market anymore. 🤦♂️
ОтветитьYou can hear how smooth that engine is my god.
ОтветитьWhat about the giant looking Passat and the Taurus X?
ОтветитьHey the 3.0 was Great
ОтветитьMy GPA bought an 86 TAURUS THE DAY THEY CAME OUT! a wagon to boot…
ОтветитьHOLY GOD! 7 BILLION! Wow
ОтветитьI had a GF in highschool that had an SHO…My 94 CUTLASS SUPREME 3.4 DOHC was WAY better! And JUST AS fast
ОтветитьMy father had a 1988 Ford Taurus GL and he did traded on a 1991 Ford Taurus LX. I liked the 1st generation of it for comfort.
ОтветитьBest ever sho 5 speed i had 2 fox bodys mustang always wanted one
ОтветитьI cannot even tell you how many times I have rewatched these videos...this channel, this series, they're sooooo good.
ОтветитьA guy i worked with as a kid had one of those 5 speed it moved
ОтветитьOK I’ve had all I can stand and I cannot stand it anymore. It is not called a Taurus sho. It’s a Taurus SVO. only a wannabe ass clown calls it the Sho which you people think stands for super hi output. further, I might add the original strategy for increasing. The horsepower was due to forge contracts using a Ford Tauruses as police cruisers and as police cruisers they needed a police interceptor option just you got the Ford Taurus SVO the SHO was nothing but a gimmick a hack, and just a general term that people were using. Do you remember the SVO mustang? This was just another twist and this is someone who came from that era not some 30 year old schmuck thinking he’s going to rewrite history because he read it on Wikipedia.
ОтветитьThat's $70b in 2023 dollars.
ОтветитьWhere does the American phrase "personal car" come from? It had better be a personal car after I've paid for it! After I've paid for my personal house
ОтветитьJesus christ that ride height gives me heart burn. Crazy how it could handle well regardless
ОтветитьThey didn't call the engine the sho gun that was a Fiesta
ОтветитьThey could adjust the cam profile and ignition timing to get it to rev past 8k. But the low end torque will suffer so that's a no go for an American car.
Ответить🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
ОтветитьThese cars really handled great!
ОтветитьADAM SANDLER review cars? awesome
ОтветитьThis was a great video. You did a great job all around, informative, funny, well edited. Thank you!
ОтветитьI had a SHO. I loved that thing. When it hit that power band in 3rd it was a great feeling. Miss that little guy.
ОтветитьA buddy of mine used to have a red automatic V8 SHO with a cat back exhaust. It was quite the sleeper until you let that Yamaha V8 really sing, and it was QUICK for that time period!
ОтветитьAnyone looking for a performance Ford went with the Mustang or Probe over the family sedan Taurus
ОтветитьThe SHO needed a trim treatment that made it stick out.
I have the same issue with my Flex Ecoboost. It's a Flex. A fast, fun to drive Flex...but just a Flex.
The transmission was junk, and they never fixed it before they completely re-designed everything. My mom bought one new in 1992 and ended up paying for 5 new transmissions before she switched to a Toyota Camry. The SHO was basically a different car than the Taurus. I'm still pissed off about how ford treated their customers on warranty claims. It made me a Chevy guy for life. My 900hp Chevy truck has an engine from 2007 and a transmission from 1995. It's by far the best vehicle that I've owned. It smokes everything, and only cost me $10k to build. It's 100% GM except for the turbo
ОтветитьThe Robocop car!
ОтветитьThe only thing that saves Ford is the government
Ответить❤
ОтветитьGood video. My sister had an old SHO in the mid 2000s but she relied on a quick lube place for her service and they never really checked the trans fluid levels even though they claimed they did . It leaked and ran dry and burned up
ОтветитьTrying to argue that plastic headlight housings are better than sealed beam kills all credibility of the whole video
ОтветитьBuick proved that you "CAN" take a family car and sell all that they could make In 1987. The 1987 Regal t-type and GNs sold 27,590 units and were a lot quicker than the 1989 Taurus SHO. Pure stock Mine Ran 13.3 at 103 mph. If only they had made more and for more years. The problem with the SHO was that it was a heavy front wheel drive.
ОтветитьFell in love with this car when I saw the first Robocop as a kid
ОтветитьI remember my buddys dad got one of these. it was nuts I was so impressed.
Ответитьwhy the heck does the taurus commercial sound like some kinda scientology PSA
ОтветитьThe Australian 1971 Falcon GTHO Was faster. The British Ford SIERRA which had the design cues and aero and looked even more like it was from the future was released in 1982, so Merika claiming accolades it has no right too.
ОтветитьI owned a 97 SHO. A V8 with Borla exhaust.
ОтветитьI hated this car, but Hollywood and law enforcement agencies loved it.
ОтветитьThe video itself is a work of art, just like that intake manifold on the SHO! Excellent work guys!
ОтветитьNo worries , they failed to fail then, they are well on their way now😂
ОтветитьI had a 95 green sho in 1995 and Loved it!
ОтветитьThis is a very good production and walk down memory lane.
