Elden Ring Optimization Guide and BEST SETTINGS | Every setting benchmarked | 1080p

Hello. Can someone help me? I have a GTX 1660 Super 6gb and a Ryzen 5 5500, 16 gb RAM. When I play the game, CPU is around 85°C (185°F) even at medium preset. I really that's not normal. What can be wrong? Is this a refrigeration problem of my setup or something like that? Thermal paste, maybe? Which setting is the most demanding on CPU?

We need more videos like this with every game. Especially with how demanding/poorly optimized games are becoming its great to know how much each setting impacts game and in what why. Especially if you have a budget GPU and need to get every fps out of it since the cost to upgrade keeps going up.

I still don’t understand how to setup graphics properly I had everything on the lowest setting and my pc wasn’t having it, did what you told me to do and it looks amazing and runs amazing, wish it was as simple as console but it does feel cool when you get it right.

with the foliage setting if your pc is nto that good, just keep it on medium and think the gardeners in the world are doing a pretty good job keeping grass short =))

I have a slight feeling that the demon's souls ps5 remake has something to do with why this game runs so badly. From soft probably laid a huge dookie in their pants when saw how beautiful it looked and the pressure was on to make elden ring look better but at the cost of performance

Great video, but Shader Quality (and likely many others) do work, but seem to be very situational. Shader Quality in particular appears to affect some sort of tessellation effects. You can notice this most significantly on coastal waters for wave deformation. Quite substantial performance impact also on the low end, being the difference between about 40fps and 60. I do NOT see a difference between low and medium, however. So it's questionable what else the setting affects at varying settings.

This in mind. DOF for example likely only applies in scenes with a more static DOF in effect, not the usual dynamic DOF from narrow perspectives like aiming. Again. Worth it? considering these effects are situational, I suspect they may perform poorly when applicable on the low end, and given their situational nature, probably not worth the sudden/unexpected performance impacts that may result.

These settings were great for a while but on consacrated snowfield the sknow has a weird effect, maybe it's a problem of the game

я играю на i5 2500, 1060 3gb, 8gb ram - фризов нет, фпс в районе 30-40 на любых настройках. жрет фпс только глубина резкости и все. но проц греется до 70°, не знаю может это и норм, но в других играх 60°

im on a 3060 ti with 16gb of ram and an i5-9400f, i was previously using a 1650 super 4gb and was getting stable 60fps n all high and now that i have upgraded to a 3060ti my game runs worse. this makes absolutely no sense and i cant seem to have a fix, i can play waaaaaaay more demanding games at well above 144 fps but this game just runs like shit. idk what to do anymore.

From's settings are as obfuscated as the lore itself.

I think Depth of Field might only work in cutscenes.

i can run it all on max fps with still a high amount of fps so should i just go all max?

The video is great since the performance difference's is what's interesting.

Shader quality can change the feel of the game completely though. I run with medium since high can make the whole scene glow in some instances.

Effect quality is most notable in spell/effects.
The difference between settings is quite large. Also higher settings add some kind of faint sharpening filter, or if it's a parallax effect adding sense of dept and contrast, dunno.

If you want performance, get the mod to disable that giant tree in limgrave. Eats a lotta FPS.

And great to see yet another unoptimized AAA title, that too a combat focused one. Great going fromsoft. Wish you'd put some more optimization into your titles.
