i actually have this pc and its very nice, little toasty but with a ram upgrade and a very soon gpu and cpu upgrade, i am happy of how this pc is built!

If anyone is looking at this CPU, they've made some updates to it since then. The case has better airflow on the front. The CPU cooler is now a much stronger model. And the GPU most notably just has the issue of needing to change the fan curve (HP's default fan curve is abysmal, changing it in MSI Afterburner to something more reasonable will dramatically improve temps). After pulling the bracket around the GPU (there for shipping, not for support) it won't hit above 70 celcius even under extreme load. Genuinely can have a solid price-to-performance if you get it on a good sale--I got one where it would've cost me several hundred dollars more to build myself.

I think the airflow is hurting the GPU more than cooler itself.

So looking at a 40L for this year's black Friday deal. Is it a good buy still?? Has a ryzen 7 7700, 16GB DDR5, RTX 4060 ti, and a 1TB SSD. Honestly question is can I get 120 to 140 fps on games like apex legends??

Great video M8! I am very anti prebuilts from the Big names HP, DELL, etc. You can build your own for the same price and it will be much nicer and higher quality.

Help I need help I bought this pc today and when I tried to power it on nothing g turns on, I’ve tried all the troubleshooting techniques and still nothing help.

Me personally I got a Omen Prebuilt Gaming PC and it worked great I had no problems with it I was pretty smooth I would recommend for some of them to buy extra ram but for me it worked great with no lag whatsoever.

is there a way to open the front

Omen is a good, and easily modifiable platform and I hope they don't stop making them anytime soon.

What monitor works with this pc?

If anyone is wondering, I have 40L, 5800x RTX3070, total 3 120mm Fans on the front bezel, 1 120mm AIO Liaid Radiator and added 2 120mm exhaust fans. so total 6 fans, but still getting
77 degree on for demanding AAA games wihout framecap, vsync. Case Cooling is just trash and the OEM Gpu is also problematic with thin heatsink.

Cannot recommend these OMEN prebuilt pc, unless you can get these OMEN PC for 50% of the initial price.

I have a feeling that the cpu has a 65w power limit

They make a water and air cooled version with more fans for around 2k

Interestingly I found the RAM frequency question on HP support forums. I saw “3733” RAM with 12400F config. Then I have found HP lists spec like RAM will work at 3733 only with 125W K SKU Lmfao. David, how it was with this one?

I've just upgraded the RAM on my HP OMEN 25L GT11-0012na from 8GB single (slot 1) to Dual 32GB in Slots 2+4 - which reduced the speed - I have no idea which slots to use because there is no information on the website to that end - in this clip though you have two RAM sticks in slots 1+3 - so does that mean I should use 1+3 and not 2+4 for dual ?

Now that i think about it, isnt hp know for undervolting there systems for some stupid reason?

Think about the airflow channel if you take that blocking plate off. There would be no airflow over the MB. Not that they gave you much front inlet...

I personally don't think this is a good starter pc, or good pc to buy at all. It costs a lot of money for butchered performance due to poor airflow, lack of places to install new fans, and the fans being junk in general. Not to mention lack of RAM. You realistically get one exhaust fan, and one fan supporting the processor. I bought my 25L HP Omen with a 3070, & i7. With the lack of fans on this type of setup, this is like trying to turbo or supercharge a car with stock internals. About 5-6 months through using it, my computer started turning off every time I booted up a game/program, it would stay black screened, or black screen and restart. I received it back from HP, they replaced my motherboard and did not supply me with any written diagnostic about why I received a new motherboard. pre-builts have always had the rep for being garbage, but HP knows how to build computers and they signed off on a faulty design anyways. I plan on purchasing a new case and motherboard to accommodate better performance. Save your money and opt for a custom built pc ( there are pc builder websites that generate appropriate parts and prices), or purchase a PS5 (which is the most sensible option).

I put my 30l in a mesh case with a thermalright 120mm CPU cooler, and put Garuda Linux on it. It's faster than my wife's newer 5700x and 3060

If you can do diy, don't buy any pre build ，99% are not good, 1 % good is price error.

Try the white 1100$ hp omen, better case, same gpu and I got it 300 off

Yeah Omen is mad annoying with there proprietary parts, locked down bios and sometimes bad case thermals but Omen is the only pre built id but tbh

Hp Omen are probably the only pre built I would buy

I love the Omen line, It brings my pertinent juices to the boil quickly.
